Hey, i was just wondering if anyone has ever got a sos/som/sun drop at level 88 rockys? Is it possible to get them at these monsters? or would it be more likely at monsters 83-87?
Maybe it makes a difference to your chances, i dunno
Someone help with this predicament

(My friend has got 2 sun drops from level 85-87 monsters, i grind at 88 and never get anything.... i been at the same spot for 2 months and no suns )

Thats why i'm asking to see if it actually possible

Yes sun can drop from 88 rockys. Because there are not many sox drops, it is hard to determine accurately which mobs get the most sox drops. Many people claim that botters get the most sox. If that is what you are looking for then perhaps it is for you. But botters are not permitted on this forum, though there are probably many. They are also not permitted in Silkroad, though there are many there as well.

If I may raise another question: if a character gets removed from SRO for botting or whatever crime he did, and he happens to own an SOx, will the item be re-dropped again by somebody else who is farming? shouldn't that be the case? I've been hand-grinding ever since level 1, though during some very very few times, I've been given free PLVL, but I never dropped even a 1d SOx.

Second Question: what does the server use as a determination on what the character should have during drops? Length of time grinding? I noticed that I drop items only after grinding for 30 minutes or so. What about us weekend warriors? We patronize the game, too, but without botting.

yeaa you can get sun drops it will just take long time or luck xDD

I don't know about the "long time" thing, but most probably you are right - also that it applies to a situation where you have been "logged in a long time and grinding a long time" - which is a situation where only BOTs could survive.

LUCK? Well, maybe you are right. My Character must really be unlucky. I finished all quests up to and beyond my level, Chinese and European, and even if it is 3x or 5x,but I just must have been plain unlucky. I hope the JoyMax Gods have pity on me, though, and give me a SOSUN lvl 64 Xbow now, or a SOSUN 9D Xbow.

Well when I start in Jangan I know a place where you always get a sox drop (ok just level 1). Same happened to me a couple of times later in game in points where the same mob always respawns, I got more drops from mobs spawning in that point than from randomly kills and most of times always the same drop like the same shield or weapon...

the drops for sox are random, (% determined by programmer at JM)
i have alot of chars on alex and have only gotten one sox drop and i play alot of hours there
a few weeks back i was bored and went to my char on greece to do a trade run there
on my way back on 2nd run back to DW got a sox drop from npc thief
i only play that char about every 2 weeks or so for about 1-2 hours

It's when you leave Jangan through the east gate, the first cross road with the road leading to the marsh, there is a little hill there with a very good item drop, got SOS and SOM there.

I also noticed that monsters sometimes respawn constantly at the same point, those mobs have better drop rates but always the same item. As an exemple, you are in a square with 2 crabs and 2 megalopas, when you kill one of them a new one respawns a couple of seconds later but it's randomly around you in that square. Sometimes monsters respawn constantly at the same point and there I noticed the same drop repeat. I got first 2 glavies from a scorpion , the 3rd one was a sos. Same happened on a mujigi, got glavies there too including one sos, shields from a small bun, chest from a flower, etc...

most places have a 3 mob spawn rate
that means if there are 3 mobs of the same type no new mobs will spawn
if you want a good spawn rate try to find a spot in between 2 areas
that will give you 6 mobs to attack
the ongs have close mob locations thats why the spawn rate is higher
but you can find good locations for most mobs, problem is most often there is someone there already

the 3 mob rate is just my personal observation, not a proven fact for all mob locations
