hit the q key to see a list of quests you have
the left button will tell you real quick how much of the mobs you need to finish the quest and if its done
the right will open a window with more info on that quest and as you scroll down the opion to abandon the quest will be there
8) 8)
and yes you can only have one transport pet open at a time
you can have a transport and a growth pet (such as a wolf) open both at the same time

For the basics of alchemy you can try out

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAZiSMS-K3M

There is one thing not mentionned it's the fact that your stones are linked to the degree of the item you want to improve. So a stone degree 2 isn't working for an item degree 3 but only on level 2 stuff.

Enjoy, it's not my post on youtube and gratz to the maker of the post there.

And next time restart a new topic for a new question plse ^^ Have fun in game.

let me put it this way (fast one, I hope)

alchemy is for:
getting elements
making your armor and weapons better
ALSO - spending time making elements, and possibly destroying your stuff.

most of the stuff you pick up are necessary to get elements.
elements are used on tablets, to make them into stones.
stones are used to make your items better.

Why do you need to make your items better?
TO last longer while grinding. to survive longer. to give more damage.

What do you need to add to your items?

HP, MP, STR, INT, and the + numbers(you use elixirs here). This are the basics.

if you notice an item, it has this stuff on it, from durability, to defense to whatever is listed there. You want to make the percentage attached to this attributes higher, such as attack rating for weapons, and Blocking Ratio for Shields.

However, you do not need to do alchemy on your items on every level. You need to do so at levels where you have just leveled your skills and your masteries. (zero gaps). If you are farming, it would be nicer if your items have gone through alchemy, though.
