Can u play silkroad online even whitout downloading it? Atm, yes. U need to download the new client, cuz after the inspection on decembre 16th; u will need to install this new client.

Yes (kinda)
After (once it is finished, and it could easily take around 5 hours or more till completion) the inspection on 16.12.2008, u have to install the new client

You can already download the new client it isn't interfering with the actual client.

You can install new ver. after the update but not before, so if u try to start installing it before 16.12.08 it won't start?

I dont know if installation won't start, but you are not able to start the game for sure.
