Seal items and Alchemy

I remember reading somewhere a long time ago (back when I still played Athens two-ish years ago) that if your item has SoX on it, there is some positive benefit when doing alchemy or adding elixirs. Is this true? If so, what are the benefits?
Cheers.

I think it has better succes rate. I know my guildmates that have sox didnt need to much to make +5, alough my friend wasted 1k silk on imortals and astrals for his som+7

Sorry that i jump into other's thread but i wanna ask something aboust SOS too

I have heard that there are some bonuses if you wear full sos set... i don;t really believe it, and i haven't notice it when i was wearing such a set, but i would like to know if someone can approve it?
As for the alhemy, the stats their selfs are divverent ( better defence for example) but i don;t think you have a better chance in alhemy only because of the seal.

ya you have the bonus of all the extra defense, 20 or 30 from an item may not make that big of a differance but when you have all 6 peices of armor sos thats a big improvment in defense 20 times 6 = 120 (i'm not using actual bonus numbers here but you get the idea, that'd be about i guess what a d7 sos clothing piece would give you)
It adds up and if you add it up 6 or 7 times based on the chance of a sheild thats a big improvment on your defense, makes you like next degree defensivly

I found the article. It said that if Elixirs failed, it would only fail down to a certain point (i.e. Astral). Based on what you said, that's obviously false.
Thanks guys.
As for dream, I tested this back when I played on Athens. My 1d SoS set conferred no benefit other than more defense.

Ok, i get the idea that the full sos set gives you extra defence.
But the question that a guy asked me was if the whole set gives extra defence as a bonus from having all the 6 parts. i don't know if i explain correct, but .... hmm you get extra defence by the sos itself, when having all the 6 parts you have 6 x extra defence, but do you get a bonus for having those part different from the sos extra defence...
If you don;t get my idea just forget it, idk how to explain it better...

no you dont get any extra bonus for having all 6 sox items
but you have the bonus of sox, so why get another bonus for having all sox
oh one bonus is you get a higher ranking on sox wearing on Rev6
lol
