Purpose of Party Monsters

I'm trying to figure out the purpose/role of party monsters in SRO. I'm referring to the ones with the blue icon and extremely high HP that appear amongst regular monsters of the same level and behave the same way.

I've yet to see a reference to party monsters in NPC dialouges. It seems they simply do nothing but kill players who are trying to grind on regular monsters.

I've killed probably a dozen or so party mobs in Jangan, but in Constantinople, I've been attacked and killed just as many times while trying to grind.

Arent the champions and giants enough? What practical purpose do these party monsters serve within the game to justify the havoc they wreak on players. I would not mind if the party monsters appeared among monsters of the same strength, but when you're a lvl 11 attacking a decayed yehoa and a party one shows up, your're as good as dead, because now you have to contend with the decayed, the party, and any additional regular yehoas that come attack you because they're aggressive.

They just dont seem to serve a useful purpose.

Lol, they have a big purpose in this game, they give you more EXP and SP people kill parties to level up faster. And if someone is plvling another person, they usually kill Parties/Giants/Champions

In a 8/8 pt, there are not enough spawns in any area if there weren't any pt mobs. With pt mobs it takes longer to kill, and meanwhile the mobs can respawn, they have 10x as much HP as a normal mob, while you have 8 people fighting them, so it doesnt hurt the spawnrate

[Shortcut]

If you are solo grinding just stay away from parties. If you begin to see a lot of party mobs around you, move to a different area or try and join the party. As the others stated, party mobs are meant for exp share parties to kill. If you can kill them safly go for it but if not be safe and move =)

ahhh to be new to the game... when I started I had all these questions. Here is a good place to spend a little time and read up on how to understand the game a bit better.

lol, i sense sarcasm, but yes they are meant to be killed by parties.
