Trouble with "Forming a Party" quest?

Post by garrettdieb »

Lvl 16 Rogue (Persia) and have been trying to beat this quest for awhile now and for some reason the game won't recognize it's completion. I'm figuring I'm doing something wrong.

I've tried just about everything.
I've went into Party Match and Formed a Party with a share exp/item Quest as the parameters and have had a member join up. We've chatted, but yet the Forming a Party doesn't clear as a completion. We even exchanged exp, are we also supposed to exchange items - do I just have to drop items on the ground for them to pick up? I still don't think this will clear it though.

I've also gone into Party Match and joined already started parties. And again, no completion.

I've started/joined countless multi-member parties outside of Party Match and still no completion. The game is no help with it's horrible english.

Please, can anyone give me direct, simple, explicit directions as to how to be rid of this foolish quest. Thank you very much.

I think the other members of the item/exp share party must be in your range (=> you see their heads, not blue circles)

For that quest all you have to to is join an exp/item auto share pt. Then, while in the pt, go talk to the quest giver. At the quest giver click start to converse, then the quest, and you will be able to complete it.

Y'see, that's where the shoddy english translation comes in. So, I don't have to FORM a party, I have to JOIN a party (through Party Match, that is) and THEN while still part of the party talk to that Tina NPC (the one that initiated the quest). That's just silly to have to do it WHILE still being in the party. I'll try doing that when I get home and get back to you if it works. Thanks.

No prob. The korenglish is rather hard to understand at times. One of my favorite things that the game says is in the little guide things that pop up. It says "You are slowered over time when frostbitten." Hilarious.

slowered is my fav, too

[edit]
took care of that miscommunicated quest.
funny tho, b/c when I finally went online I couldn't find a party to join for over 2hrs and then when I did it was one in China (based in Europe, currently) so I had to race to converse with Tina before they kicked me off (for obvious location problems). Fortunately beat them to it and completed it.
The next one was the Baroi wolves and when I finally hunted them down (forgot where they were) I was disconnected from my server. Gotta love this game :D
