wat is pk2 and can i delevel mastery lvls?

Hi, im just new to SRO, I read those pk2 tutorial. Err, from my point of view, it is cheating =.=, pardon me can somebody explain about pk2 clearly for me ?

Another question, i've developed my char in wrong way (bichenon + pacheon + cold + fire, too many skills), i want to eliminate one of my masteries, so how can i do it ?

pk2 is a type of file that hold the graphics of your game.
by altering this file, you can change the graphics of your
character, your pet, etc. all these changes are client based
and will have no effect on your characters leveling speed,
money gain or stats.

for example, with pk2, you can make your character look like
a character in full 9degree set, but your character will not have
the defense, offense, etc of a character in full 9degree set.

so basically, the only gain for you as a player, is the gain of
seeing your char in a nicer looking outfit, doing nicer looking skills,
or having uruchi as a pet instead of your wolf.

it will have no advantage compared to other players whatsoever.

also in regard to your second question, yes you can lvl down ur masteries by doing the curst heart potion quest that you can get from any potions trader/npc. just go to the editing skills and take the resuscitation quest and grind to get the hearts.

btw it will also cost you money to lvl down each skill and mastery, so keep that in mind.

about pk2: so that means other players also see my char with nice accessories right? So pk2 is a trick that can deceive ppl.

about mastery deleveling: can u tell me how much for one mastery lvl down? I am at lvl 18 chinese now, still stuck in Jangan atm. Where can i find that quest?

Heya Kid,
No other players cannot see your "nice gear", and thus not be decieved. When a modification is client based, it means that only you can see it. The client is the game installed on your computer, there is no way - that I know of - to alter the game on the official silkroad servers.

So again, altering pk2s just gives you the ability to modify certain areas of the game, making it look more like you want it to. Like cin said, make your armors and weapons look like a higher level.

as i stated in my explanation, pk2 files are client-based.
that means, only you can see your edits, only on your screen.
other people will see your char as it really is.

oh and you can only get the curst heart quest when ur lvl 20. it takes 10 hearts to get 1 editing skill potion and that one potion can delevel one level of a skill or mastery.

Note: you can't delevel a mastery without delvling any skills that you have raised up. for example, if i increased my mastery lvl from 21 to 22 and learned a skill at lvl 22. in this case if i wanted to reduce my mastery lvl, i would have to first unlearn the skill first with one editing skill potion and then reduce my mastery.

Im sorry cin, but the truth of the matter is pk2 gives a huge advantage if you want it to.

Lets say I am a Hunter. Now I turn all thief suits into capes. Now I can see what degree gear they have on. I am 90% sure you can pk2 different tiers as well so you then can find out what lvl they are from 68-77.

Lets say I am hunting a unique. Why don't I make the uniques super sized, then I zoom all the way out find them, and then can click on them even if they are surrounded by mobs. Only a few of the unique hunters whoes names pop up over and over are actually legit.

So yes unfair advantage, so why is this okay and noDC is not?
