proxy ?

what really is proxy ? those this thing change your IP adress ?
And if yes how do i activate ( or whatever ) it ... and then am I able to disable it ?

a proxy is a tunnel that your internet connection goes through to hide your actual ip address.

there are several online ones you can use, just google "online proxy" or you could find an up to date proxy list and insert that into your connection settings.

(running sro through a proxy would be bad, as proxies give connection lag, and it would be awful on silkroad)

Yupp i remember when sro had some crap problem and loads of people
couldn't connect, me beeing one of them. So i learned how to use a proxy
and it worked.. But it was horribly slow -.-

This was the same time as i joined SRF ^_^
