Should I buy a wolf (I am sp farming lvl 16 bow)

I have more than enough money to buy myself a wolf and I am sp farming on bandit archers and I am lvl 15 going to be 16 and I am wondering is it even worth it to buy a wolf right now? I also need to know if I do buy one since I will stay at lvl 16 for a long time will it surpass my lvl and then I won't be able to use it anymore?

well i would does help lure monsters, and if it has just abit of hp it can finish it off, and it only levels when you do, so when your about to be level 17 unsummon your wolf, de level, and then re summon.
