Quick question on trade run lvl cap

is it true that lvl 40+ cannot atk lvl 40- traders/thieves/hunters? I rarely do trade since I kept getting ganked by 2-3 high lvl thieves back then.

i think its if you're 40- u can't be attked while doing a one star
