quick question: required vs ???

what are the two options again that a skill can have towards the use of the weapon? Required and ...

And what is their restriction, explanation again?
I tried search but prolly used wrong words

I forget what the other one is. But required is if you switch weapons, the buff disappears, the other one if you switch weapons, the buff stays.
