Fire shield question

Is it true that in a later version you can only have the fire shield buff if you have a shield equipped?
Meaning that if you buff for the fire shield and take off the shield, the buff goes away.

Another question...
I also read around the forum that in a later version of SRO you can't be immune to ice... Is this true as well O.o?

The fire shield should not go away when the shield is removed.

As for ice immunity, there will be a GREAT resistance to ice, but I do not think ppl will be "immune" to it exactly. As long as you get 100% "immunity" on your jewels and get the mana shield(new skill), you should be good. Oh yeah, pills never hurt either. I always carry them and i'm almost "immune" to everything.

Unless you can see into the future then you can't answer your question. Magnus is making the assumption that we will have the same version as ksro.

While he may very well be right, we won't know till we get the "latter version"

If I was trying to plan a build then I would look at ksro for information, it is the best we have.
