SRF-What does +1 mean??

What im meaning is, when someone says something eg. "Blah blah is waaay better" and then someone will say eg. "+1 man!!" or something like that. So what does this actually mean? Lol probably sounds a bit silly but i think alot of people wouldn't know either..

it means that they totally agree
+1 means "yes that was what i was thinking"

on some forums, there is a "karma" or "kudos" system. if you post a good
reply, people can give you +1 karma points. that way, people can get a
good or a bad reputation on a forum. -1 would mean bad karma. thats how
you would be able to see who is a respected and who is a disrespected
member and take that with you in the trust you have in their replies.

this forum does not have that function, but still people like to +1 a post to
show that they agree.
