what are the stats necessary to two drop a bandit archer?

Post by robert_utk »

ok this question is not so simple for me. what is the formula for avarage damage done by a bow? Assume I will be STR level 16 (spent a few points on INT around level 8) with the level 2 basic bow skills at mastery 7 for a 9 gap. I already know to get a full set of garment all maxing +MP to help my STR character. The reason I need to know how to compute the damage done by a bow is I want to be able to know exactly if the bow I am looking for is going to do the job. If my character is going to require a SOx bow to two shot bandit archers, I need to know now since it will take me a while to get the money and find a good price on a pimper upper. Also if I can get the job done with a totally maxed out non SOx weapon then I need to know exactly what stats I am looking for. So I assume I should take the HP of a bandit archer and look for a bow that can do that much on average for one shots or half that for two shot kills. PLease help me with the math, ima noob but learning fast!

Thanks!

I cant give u an egxact calculation or anything.

But pure str is the hardest build to farm at 16.

Youll need a som +3 bow at least to 1hit.

Mayyybbbeee a sos +7.

Anything less than that and youll need two hits

(note this is just imbued no skill using skill you can one hit with sos +3, but u dont wanna be using skill wastes time)

you can two hit kill bandits with sos+3 bow attack at least ~94.
but first you need to lvl. up to at least 20 then delevel back to 16.
basically i think you just need str of about ~97+ with fire imbue if you are PURE str. i'm guessing int. should need less. (find garment that has str/int +2/3 that is below lvl. 16 to help you reach those stats)

** DON"T spent over 20 million on a SOM bow just to 1 hit kill, you will need to wait a few sec still for archers to spawn if you 1 hit kill specially if there are a lot of people farming at the same time)

Yeah, when u lvl you get 1str and 1int instantly then the 3bonus points (which u will put on str allso) when u de lvl u get to keep all these extra stat points. So youll be a lvl 16 with lvl 19 stats.

I will try first with max INT Blues on a full garment set...

Post by robert_utk »

Yes I agree that it sounds like if I max out the INT on a full garment set of level 16 garment, even though I an almost pure STR I will be able to two shot the bandit archers with a pimped up non-SOx bow,<<< FALSE SEE EDIT BELOW>>> like a +4 or +5 without using any skills, just imbues. Two shots on the archers takes a little longer but can still clean out the archers faster than they spawn. The one shot superbow would be to prevent KS or to take away the area from any other farmer who must two-shoot them. I feel comfortable with this information, and this gives me specific things to look for to buy to plan ahead. Anyone disagree with any of this? Tell me now and save me a headache and lots of money later!

Thanks Alot!

much much later edit:

I have since been able to confirm to anyone else needing this info, a pure STR player will need a SOS bow to two hit bandit archers using imbue only, no skills. With a SOS 16+3 bow and a decent ammount of str and Int on my gear I use fire imbue. One imbue and 4 arrows takes out two archers and they spawn 2 at a time, so perfect. Without a SOS bow you will need a 18+4 at least or a whole lot of expensive INT and STR on your gear. Then you could only farm archers for level 18 and young tigers at 19, then have to delevel back to 18 again. It is actually cheaper to save up 9 mil and buy a sos 16+3 bow which u can sell for a proffit after you are done using it anyway. Hope somebody finds this info helpful.
