Critical Hit Rating
Ok im a Cold, Lightening Pacheon and have been on a few bows now and just sold a very low crit +4 bow after picking up a high crit (10) bow and getting it up to +3. Thing is it dosent seem much more powerful which is weird since it is lvl 26+3 an my old bow was 24+4. Althouugh i have niticed i do get alot of critical hits now they dont seem very strong.. What is it about critical rating that makes it soo important. I cant find and Definition on it, Help pls

The 24+4 is like a lvl 28 bow.
The 26+3 is like a lvl 29 bow.
The difference is only 1 level, so you aren't going to notice much of a difference. The critical rating on your weapon shows how likely it is that you will get a critical on the enemy. You already said that you get crits more often, and that they are slightly higher than before. This is what's supposed to happen. Higher critical on your weapon means you will hit criticals more often. Unless you affect the actual phy/mag atk power, you will do the same damage. Increasing the level by 1 will increase the atk power slightly.

Pure Int Nuker
The reason that you are experiencing lower damage would probably be due to the Phys att %'s and Phys reinforce %'s. If for example your 24+4 bow had 50% phys attack power, and your 26+3 has 0% phys attack power, the 50% bonus of the 24+4 would be enough for it to hit harder.

Higher crit = chance to hit more frequent criticals. Whats not to like about that?
Whats this SOS myth you speak of? Not knowing why people would pay ridiculous prices for an sox weapon when they could just level and get the next tier of weapon? Well, the simple reason is because you can use a weapon equivalent to a higher level one, at a lower level. Especially good for farmers.

I think critical is important in PVP. But it does not matter much against mobs. and about SOX I think it is just cool to have nice glow on it and more power on lover lvls. It is just like if u like it, u like it, if u do not, do not buy them then

My point about SOx is that they are over priced more than often if you look at the numbers, Ie Att Rating, Level adding its 5-15 is it worth it ??? More than often NO !!
More frequent criticals means that you will hit for a crit more often. Crit = double your physical damage. Double your physical damage = mob\player dead faster. Mob\player dead faster = move onto the next faster = more exp. Whats not to understand?
SOX is more than definetly worth it if your farming at 16, or once you are lvl 32+. It allows you to grind on orange mobs as fast as you would white mobs therefore gaining exp and sp faster.
Sounds to me like someone is just starting and is a bit bitter because they havent gotten an sox weapon and cant afford one.
Dont worry, your day will come.

What the guy doesn't understand is this:
Why is critical so important? It doesn't improve my hits very much.
This is because you are a hybrid character (or pure int), and not str heavy. If you were a str heavy hybrid/pure str, then you would LOVE critical because it essentially doubles your damage.
If you add more str, then your crit will be higher.
A str hybrid guide, there is hope!

Thank guys that makes sense kinda
lol I see your point about the shiny SOS and as a quest and not a PvP or Level player i feel im justified in my decision to opt for ++ over SOx ... and yes i am hybrid approx 1.6-1.4 at the moment ! so still a str balance, its also nice to know IF i ever wanted to farm using no imbue a high crit would improve my hit power ratio. Cheers guys.
