hmm why not

Post by Mahnitu »

when i was lvl 27 i get lucky and i succeded at lvl 5 thief run ( just found a lot of stuff and hide in the bushes whit a camel :-) ) and i made only around 40k,i remmember when i did a lvl 5 trade run i would make around 90k

my question is why to be a thief?

-- i think that sro woud be better place without thiefs, everybody would go on 5 star trade with a hunter buddy and everybody would have more money....why go on a trade run and get pop up-ed by a high lvl thief and lose money and exp,and what does he get 10k lol i think that is stupid....i dont know how much can a thief with a full fire ox make but i konw that he can make X2 if he goes on a trade fun

so wtf and traders ftw

Because no one would grind anymore and you would only see 5 camels in a row following another camel (bots with multi client). He would have some help from him guild mates to kill the thieves and all camels would also be 5*. When he would finish the run he would make around 1 million and can buy what he wants just in a few trade runs.

The game would be boring, because everyone would have tons of money and everyone would run around in sosun gear, but also simple weapons like sos lvl 32 weapons would cost 500 million instead of 5 million.

The game economics would be f**ked up and no one would play it anymore.

:)

Now "Why to be a thief?"

1. It's fun, very fun.
2. You are very happy when you pop someone, because then you know that you are stronger than that "noob", and it's a very cool felling too.
3. You can pwn hunters.
4. You have the best looking job suit.
5. You can hide your lvl.
6. When you come near a trader he says "Plz don't pop me", "I'm low lvl i need money, don't kill me" and it's very fun to hear that.
7. When you kill a low lvl trader he says noob, a**hole and things like that, you ress him and kill again and that is very fun too.
8. It's just cool, try once to pop someone and you will see what i mean (even tho i'm hunter 4 ever i tried thieving and it's great, but i still like being a hunter more than a thief).
Stopped playing SRO a long time ago; still pr0.

You can actually make more money as a thief than as a trader. I can't remember what you said... something like 90k for a 5 star trade and 60k or whatever for a 5 star thief run. How long did it take you to sell the stolen goods? Like 3 minutes if you just picked it up and hid in a bush. How long did it take to do the trade? Like over half an hour probably.

It's FUN killing noobs. Popping traders... and even other thieves and taking their stuff is fun. A thief can begin anywhere...but a trader must start and end in the city.
