Help bout my build...

Hmm...I recall the days when I didn't really give that much attention to my stat points...now the trouble is : i just turned lvl 31, am a bowman(using a sos+1 lvl 24 bow), fire imbue(with ice and light as secondary) and my distribution of stat points is : (78 str) and (120 int), or at least very close to that, coz i can't login to check out...Using garment.

Now i really want to become somewhat of a nuker, rather than tanker...but i guess my stupidity pushed me into this...
Trouble is, many people told me : bow is bad, use a glaive, etc...The question is : is there something that can be done for my build? or is it hopeless and start a new build?

Plus i noticed that since i switched from protector to garment my nuke does 200 dmg less...checked the protector, no blues no nothing...so, what would be the explanation?

I would really like to know your oppinions, but if you do state'em, please make it in a civilized way, no "noob posts"

You're lucky your build isn't that really 'in the shit.' Your build can be easily salvaged and made into an effective nuker and a decent hybrid.

See, as an INT hybrid (which you are), generally any level of screwed-uppyness can be simply fixed by either going pure, or just keep hybridizing your char. This is because INT hybrids are generally renowned as being effective builds.

STR hybrids, (the 'accidental' ones anways) on the other hand can only be salvaged up to a particlular level. STR hybrids are NOT recognised as being effective builds.

I found that your stats in-game are 79 STR and 111 INT.

If you want to mainly nuke, all you need to do is go pure int from now on.

It's THAT easy, buy a nice spear or sword and shield when you hit 32 and you can nuke your little hybrid heart out, although I must warn, your nukes will not do 'spectacular' damage until you start getting your mag. balance around 80~85. When you get to those levels, your nukes will hit hard, especially with INT stats on your gear.

You should reach an 80% magical balance at level 46 by going pure INT from now on.

I have no idea why you hit more with nukes wearing prot, to be honest.

Well thanks a lot for your help...really gives me hope

...anyway w/o blues on equipment i have (73 str) and (117 int) but you couldn't have known...my balances:
- phy 67% || def 109
- mag 78% || def 260
- 1532 HP, 2370 MP

Well my question(s) are :
- Are physical and magical balances just stats or are they really used in calulating dmg in some sort of formula ?

If they are not just stats, i suppose str+3 items will decrease my magical balance

- Using a spear, i will have to put a lot of points in heuksal...so farm more sp:) ...
- WTF is a pure hybrid?

i really understand the concepts of pure and hybrid, but pure hybrid

I am quite happy with my char's performance in PvE since i hunt taoists,which i kill in a : fire imbue, zerk arrow, nuke, and a 2 arrow combo(when they still have some life left). And how could I have not been happy since my first char was a blader who did sh*tty dmg

. But my fear is PvP, coz there you really see the weaknesess, especially against pure str(who have kinda 3k HP). I did not get the chance to fight pure nukers yet...

but I will in the near future.

No worries.

About the balances, i just assumed you had 79 STR (from what you said) and adjusted the INT to that level using this application.

(Click on the little head on the left panel of icons, it should come up with a mock 'character panel' with fully customisable STR/INT buttons that use the same INT/STR formula that the game does)

Your questions:

1. Yes, phys. and mag. balances are a crucial part of the damage calculation. The balances are decided from the amount of INT/STR you have, including the points from your gear. Oh, and adding STRpoints from gear doesnt decrease your mag. balance. It's a win/win situation.

2. Well, what you could do (this is from experience) is just slowly, over time delevel your bow skills. You dont really need spear skills to do damage with your nukes, you only need a spear to be in your hands. Gather curst hearts (level 20 quest available from any potion seller) and gather as many hearts as you need to.

-Every 10 curst hearts you hand in gets you 1 resucitation potion.
-Every 1 resucitation potion delevels one mastery level, or one skill level
-Fairly expensive

3. People us the term 'pure hybrid' to decribe a hybrid that keeps a 2:1 ratio of str/int per level. For example, a 2:1 INT:STR hybrid would put 2int and 1str each time they level up. I don't think 'pure hybrids' are limited to just a 2:1 ratio, but can also have more complicated ratios. (EG: 5:1 INT:STR means 3 INT after the first level up, then 2 INT and 1 STR the level-up after that. The pattern continues until they are capped)

Just grind with your spear. It isn't really even necessary to get points in heuksal if you want to save some sp/cash, but doing so gets you that tasty HP bonus that is always help to a nuker.

Well, i have like lvl 10 heuksal just for that hp bonus you mentioned earlyer, so it should be not that difiicult...anyway all i want is the 31 skill...and i suppose i dont have to get all the other heuksal skill to the maximum to be above decent with them spear

Bout the potion resuscitation, i know, i deleveled cold from 9 to 6 costed me 100k for 98SP or so...so it's pretty expensive alright
