What factors cause damage

i "know" your weapon causes damage:

ie:

following taken from:

Sword: Mag attack 882, Mag Reinforce 209.9%
Spear: Mag attack 986, Mag Reinforce 234.7%
Let us suppose that the user is lvl 80 pure int, with 336 int. They are very poor, using lvl 64 npc weapon, and no alchemy on the int. Razz
For the sword user: 882 + (336 * 2.099) = Mag Attack
882 + 705.264 = Mag Attack
1587.264 = Mag Attack
For the spear user: 986 + (336 * 2.347) = Mag Attack
986 + 788.592 = Mag Attack

So Reinforce is a factor in damage. (if the formula above is correct).

But what does Reinforce on armour / prot / garm / Defence do????

Add to attack, or more likely add in same way to defence? And if so How?

in this link (which shows stats of defence):

it says:

P DEF reinforce

rather than

phy. reinforce

as is seen on sro info screen.

So reinforce is for Defence not attack. Makes sense - but u never know!

I thought reinforce on cloathes was part of the damage calculation, but now I am not sure.

Its easy to figure out though. Just go to your character screen and look at your attack specs with a peice of clothes off and then on. Make sure it doesnt have any int or str on it.

Oh and tell us what you find out
