I dont know you can really report bots.. but if someone is "selling" his char, you pay gold for it and he just goes away with your gold, i think you can put it in bug submission.

I know someone who got banned by scamming. ("selling" his char)

You can report botters in the bug report as well. Theres plenty of obvious bot signs and heres a few...

-Immediately after u use a skill on a mob a bot is going for, they do a sort of short back step and go for another mob
-They pick up drops, even though they have a grabber
-Same repedative skill patern
-They follow bot waypoints to grind spots
-A guildless pure str glaive in armor that has a jibberish name and doesnt use skills/imbue tends to be a gold farming bot

Theres some more tells than those. Also PM doesnt always mean people are/arent botting. Some people wont respond to pm because they have F12 on or hate getting random pms while botters will respond to pms because theyre babysitting.

Don't forget the stuck in a wall/tree/rock/other prop
Targeting mobs before they are visible
Always seems to be there when you grind, usually in the same spot.
No guild for extended periods of time also is asign.

Keep in mind, just because someone has one or more of the signs of being a botter does not mean they are.

lol essentially there is no way to tell if someone is botting...
-if i use repetitive skills its because they work best (devil arrow, fire imbue in stronghold wash rinse repeat).
-if there is an sos...heck i don't wait for my grabber (Also some bots don't have grabbers :P)
- and finally if they don't pm you...the classic must be a bot!!
anyways my point is those COULD be signs but they are in no way proof of someone botting. In order to spot a bot you have to watch them for a while. When i'm at the stronghold i'm not botting. especially during the afternoons it gets sooo laggy and sometimes i get stuck in walls and Dc'ed ..again that doesn't mean i bot.
-on top of all this ...as has been brought up multiple times joymax hasn;t done a whole lot about bots. If anything better security is the only way to eliminate bots.
i know this sounds sort of depressing...but there is so little you can do about bots as a player. hopefully you won't have the mentality "can't beat em join em" as some of the SRF members proudly proclaim...

It's pretty obvious when you see a real bot because their movements are just so fake; observe it for a few minutes. The speed they "see" a mob and go atk it with the exact same skills every time is just different from normal players. No matter how quickly normal players grind, there's a pause every now and then, but bots are continuous, and they don't seem to lag at all.

weird.
since i got a monkey i don`t have pauses its all just continues grinding bots never collect mobs they just attack 1 at a time.
if you are in crowded mob areas i only pause to get back to town or else its nonstop grinding.
bots are slower than grinders, bots level faster just because they grind longer its not because they are faster.
replying is something i really hate if i don`t know you and its another random "hi" when i am grinding i usually don`t reply if you cant notice the difference between a bot and a hand grinder after lvl 60 then something is really wrong there.
most bots are set on non ks so they walk back when you "touch" a mob.

@shoto i think he just said they grab anything even gold when they have a pet.
repeating skills is something that is very common everyone uses couple standard skills when grinding but don`t tell me when you get attacked by multiple mobs that you still use same skills as when fighting 1 mob.

They move in the same patterns, it's even more obvious when they can't find a mob and they move in a direction only to turn back around. If you've seen that video of D34tH botting (on YouTube) you'd have an idea of what I'm talking about.

I also use the same skill pattern always >.<

Fire imbue, Soul Spear, Ghost Spear --> if the mob stays alive my wolf finishes him...

Last time I tried the bug report on the JM sute it didn't seem to be working. Couldn't find the button to report a bug with the bug reporter =x

With some experience in the game it's quite easy to tell who's botting, in my opinion. Most times I know after watching them for 30secs or so.

It's really easy to tell using a ranged attack.. just start your attack on something they are running at, if they are not set to KS, they will disengage and go attack the next closest mob.

Also, real players tend to move a lot differently. You will notice with bots, if they have a target within sight, they will head straight towards it where a normal player usually makes a turn or two if nothing is in sight. and yeah when they can't find a target you'll them running back and forth doing 180s.

And of course normal players don't tend to get hung up on props for extended periods of time. And the paths they follow are all the same so id there are a lot going to one training area you'll notice them all following the same paths and making the same little stops.

A new one I just noticed since I checked out the caves.. They buff up as soon as they get inside the caves. Then they go bouncing off all the walls in the place trying to get to their destination room. Normal players tend to navigate a bit more fluidly.

Most of what has been posted tells you a few ways u can guess it is a botter... but ofcourse some people just plays that way.. :D ... so u cant really tell... but to me.. the best way to ASSUME that a person is a botter is to try and speak to them..... not just "hi" because some botters can still respond by saying back... but if you try and carry on a conversation with them..and they keep saying HI... or someother thing that has nothing to do with what u asked...I would say they are a botter...

Just one shot attack them with an ice imbue. Give them frostbite or freeze. You'll soon find out if they are a bot or not.... do you get a p****d off pm or not? :P
