Question on Thief attacking merchant/hunter

If i attacked one and died would i lose exp points? and/or drop items?
Just wondering before i get bored grinding and decide to throw caution to the wind and go for it, which i doubt is sensible being level 20 :roll:

Yes, you would lose exp. Npc thieves are just like mobs. You can tell what degree the thieves are by looking at their weapon.

oh no no i didnt mean attacking an npc thief sorry. i meant that if i am a thief and attacked a player character and died... would i lose exp?

You could only attack a trader with more than a 1 star, a trader without transport, or a hunter, and yes if you attacked them and died, you would lose XP but I don't think you drop items.

Im lvl 53 and when i die from thieving, i lose around 6500 exp and 125 thief exp. Compare that to when I die from a mob, I lose 225k in exp. There is a DRASTIC difference between dieing with a job suit on than without one. And, no, it doesn't work if you wear the suit and die from a reg mob. You lose the max exp when that happens. Hope it helped.
