Could someone direct me to a topic which explains all about the weapon and armour attributes like
attack ratings
blocking ratios
percentages %
mag/phy reinforce
absoption rates etc...
or possibly tell me yourself?
just wondering as i read a guide and was told to take a shield with 17+ br above a lower one even if its the other stats were lower.
would just like to know how all this stuff works so i know which items to use/discard in future. thx

attack rating- helps you hit higher on your damage range
block ratio- kind of self explanatory.. higher has better chance of blocking an attack
percentages are for example lets say a stick of wood has attack rating that can be anywhere from 5-10. If you pick up a stick of wood that has 10 attack rating, it is 100%. If it has 5 attack rating, it has 0%. etc..
most stats are pretty self explanatory though.

Not true, blades/swords default attack does strike faster but the dmg doesnt quite compare as much to a slower glaives attack its not because of attack raiting.
But to give an example of attack raiting, lets say your hits do 85 ~ 109 dmg to an enemy. If your attack raiting is pretty high (or higher than ur opponets parray at least) you will do damage closer to 109 than damage thats close to 85.
mag/phy reinforce: Its a factor in determining the extra damage/defense in ur base stats. The formula that proves this goes like this
For magic dmg u do: (int * mag reinforce) + mag dmg
For phy dmg u do: [(str * phy reinforce) + phy dmg] * (wep mastery + 1)
If u did the math right, this should match ur overall damage stats (found in the stat menu [Hotkey S]). Idk the formula for phy/mag defense though.


Okay sorry, i just read that somewhere, i dont remember where exactly it was a silkroad forum. Is there any way to increase attack speed of a weapon, say like a bow? Or do some bows attack faster than others, it seems that way to me, when i was fighting with a lower level bow it would shoot faster than the one i'm using now. I don't know why.
