Pure Str Should Use Sword And Spear Instead?

Mmm this is probably a stupid question, i know why pure STR's or str based builds use glaive and blade instead, because they have a higher phy damage, but! do pure STR not do some heavy damage when it crits? since everyone knows sword/spear has higher crit, especially the spear, isnt it better to have a higher crit based weapon than 100-200 phy damage ?

or has anyone compared the damage between a stock glaive/spear blade/sword?

Just get a blade/glav with a higher crit. Simple. Its not worth losing that extra phys attack, and phys reinforce.

I'm Pure Str and i have a +5 lvl 48 glavie and i borrowed a
+5 lvl 48 Spear to compare. The Glavie Owned the Spear..

But becuase i have loads of Int And Str points And i use Lightning the Spear Still owned. becuase i got a pretty Strong Mag attk as well as Phy Attk.

And about the crit thing. My glavie has crit 11 and the spear has crit 13. And the Glavie seemed to crit way more!

Well if I'm not mistaken, the only thing the Critical value means is, the higher the crit, the more often the weapon will do a critical hit. A high crit weapon won't do more damage than a low crit weapon (all other stats equal), it will just hit critical more often.

A pure STR character generally has a higher physical balance than an INT based one, ignoring str/int increases on equipment, so a pure str character should do more damage with a blade/glavie than he would using a sword/spear. Similarly, you won't see many pure STR's using nukes because their magical balance is significantly lower than an int based character.
