Ok.. let me explain.

ELIXERS

There are 3 type of elixers in SRO. Weapon elixer, protector elixer and accessory elixer. These elixers are used to make + in ur equipment. For example: Let's say you have a weapon. By using weapon elixer and if you succeeded, you will see let's say, Moon glavie +1. So if you plan to go further yu can do so by using weapon elixers doing the same method to go +2 +3 +4 and so on. Protector elixers are used to make + for all armors, protectors and garments while accessory elixers are used to + the rings, necklace and earrings. The more + you have, the better attack/def you'll have on the equipment

STONES

Stones are made from combining the correct amount of elements and tablets. Different stones have different attributes such as, stone of master will increase the durability of your equipment and so on. The degree of the stones used must be the same degree as the equipment that you wanna "stoned" with.

That's all for these two. Keep in mind that alchemy does not have 100% success rate. Therefore, it's all based on your luck. Some might get it succeed the first time while some might need to try a few times. Therefore, good luck in messing with alchemy :D
