I need advice please

Post by jhawks »

Hi all, I just registered at this site after getting it from another.

I hope this is the right place to post this since looking at the other forums it doesn't seem to fit in the rest.

I'm currently in Rome. I use a bow, wear Protection/Armor and right now I'm level 20. My STR is 66 and INT is 63.

Before I thought I tried using a sword so I placed 5-6 in the Sword/Blade Mastery and the first skill you get to learn is at level 1-2.

I also placed 5 in the Force Force and the first skill you get is at level 1.

Those were a mistake for me.

Anywhos, I thought I'd go Lightning and Ice.

Lightning (lvl13) - I want the increase speed skill, increase parry ratio and the last skill which permanently increases your parry ratio. (Yeah, I don't think it is implemented yet, but when parry is, it should be worth it right?)

Ice (lvl17) - So far I'm placing points into the first (lvl7) and second(lvl3) ice skill. The one where it adds cold damage and can freeze/frostbite your enemies and the other one where it increases your physical defense.

Bow (lvl20) - I decided to go with the first skill(lvl7), the combo skill(lvl2-3) and explosion skill. Also with the last passive skill. I added some to the bird(lvl2) because of the hit ratio and because I like seeing a bird hovering over me.

Forgive me for not naming the correct names, I'm still new.

So far I'm going PvE because I'm not good at PvP. (I make stupid mistakes when I'm under pressure).

Obviously everyone is different and such, I just wanted to know what you all think about my build so far. I think I got those levels correct.

I mostly want to be a Hunter.

I think I want to go all INT for the mana but considering most of my skills are affecting physical strength, I'm a little confused on what to go.

Please help me, I will greatly appreciate it.

Thank you very much.

Np, with the cursed hearts quest allows you to remove these in a matter of hours.

Lightning (lvl13) - I want the increase speed skill, increase parry ratio and the last skill which permanently increases your parry ratio. (Yeah, I don't think it is implemented yet, but when parry is, it should be worth it right?)

Parry is already implemented.
In other games, parry ususally means something like "block" but with a weapon, in Silkroad, Parry adds defence by preventing the opponent to deal his maximum damage (hits are a bit random, for example a weapon can have 1000-1500 mag attack, parry ratio prevents it from going all the way to 1500)

Ice (lvl17) - So far I'm placing points into the first (lvl7) and second(lvl3) ice skill. The one where it adds cold damage and can freeze/frostbite your enemies and the other one where it increases your physical defense.

Ice is good for archers since the 4-arrow-combo skill usually frostbites the mob/enemy and has a good chance of freezing them.
This is nice for fighting giants etc, but in high levels, alot of people go for getting immune from ice, then, you ice will be useless in PvP. But if PvP is'nt your thing, gogo :)

Bow (lvl20) - I decided to go with the first skill(lvl7), the combo skill(lvl2-3) and explosion skill. Also with the last passive skill. I added some to the bird(lvl2) because of the hit ratio and because I like seeing a bird hovering over me.

Yep all skills are nice except autumn wind :P

Well i wouldnt suggest going for pure INT with a bow.
Archers have hardly no defence, and adding pure INT to that would mean anyone could just run up and kill you on the spot :s

You can't change the STR/INT stats, so the day you gotten enough training and you're ready for PvP you will most likely have to delevel Pacheon and make a nuker, or make a new char.

Anyway, if you are really sure you want to be a INT nuker, going Lightning/Cold/Pacheon is the right path (altho i don't recommend it :s)

Wow, thanks for the reply. Really helped =)

Yeah I decided to make my current character a 'fun' character.

I decided to make another character once I'm really sure on what kind of archer I want.

Yeah I can delevel some of those skills through the quest though it will cost a lot hehehehe.

As for the STR and INT, I'm really confused with this.

Because STR increases physical damage, which helps alot since my bow skills are all physical based.

INT on the other hand raises magical damage which helps my Cold spells. Plus it raises my MP and MP helps me dish out my Bow spells.

Man I'm so confused. I just got back from game and my STR is 69 and INT is 66.

BTW, the potion that delevels skills. Is that like, one potion gets you back 1 SP? I don't quite understand the concept.

Even though I don't want to PvP, I still want to kill Thieves and stuff.

Basically, I want to kill enemies before they reach me. If possible, humans too. (Obviously I probably can't really do this, but at least deal heavy damage before they reach me).
