What is a physical attack?
This is probably a stupid question, but what exactly is a physical attack (eg. when Flame Body series increases physical attack power)? Is it when you attack without any skills at all or when you attack with skills from weapon masteries?
I'm still learning this stuff, so anyone correct me if I'm wrong.
Physical damage happens anytime you whack something with a weapon.
Look at your weapons stats and you'll see that it has 'Phy. attack power' and 'Mag. attack power' attributes. So, the way I understand it, everytime you hit something, without any spells or imbues active, you do physical damage AND magic damage just from the weapon alone. Physical gets a bonus from Str., magic gets a bonus from Int.
So, when Flame Body series increases physical attack power, it's boosting the stat on your weapons 'Phy. attack power' attribute. Lightning's Piercing Force Series adds a boost to magic damage... I'm assuming that is the counterpart to the Flame Body series and applies to the weapons 'Mag. attack power.'

that actually is only half correct a phys dmg is when a Weapon mastery dmg is unleashed and a mage dmg is when force dmg is applied
Force is mage weapon mastery is physical

Ah, so having Flame Body activated will make for example a Soul spear attack more powerful?
true, while magical damage is nukes and stuff.
So the imbue is not affected by Flame Body, while soul spear are? Therefor, If I'd hit a mob with imbue and Flame Body, it'd do the same damage as if Flame Body wasn't on? Since the only "attack" I use is a magical one (imbue).
