do i need combo skill??i hv lvl 5 chain spear, but i don't know if i will max it?? will i max it till lvl9 and put another points in 2nd book??

Chain is optional. But if you want it, max it. Don't leave it half hanging there.

The very reason why chain is optional is because it does well in PVE only. In PVP, it is not very good as people could interupt your combo easily such as KD/KB/Freeze/Stun

i agree with vulperin. I would suggest you get it because at low level, you need some skills in your repertoire. Once you reach 4x you should stop using it because you would have second skill of ghost spear and soul spear, which are important in both PvE and PvP.

After a while, you will get bored of spamming:

Soul Spear, Ghost Spear, Soul Spear, Ghost Spear all the time.

So, chains may add some excitement to your boring grind. :banghead:
