Salaam alaikum is another way, it just means "peace be with you" or something like that. I usually reply with "Hello" as a lot of the time they assume you speak turkish when you reply "a.s."
I think its cool that we get to meet a ton of people from different cultures in the game. Not so cool when the maturity level isn't quite there.
