Chinese buffs vs cleric buffs

So today i got into my 1st party =)
A cleric buffed me, and he said that cleric buffs are better than the chin ones(Since i had to cancel my buffs before he buffed me)

so lets say i have a cleric around me all the time, will it be worth getting the defensive chinese buffs? im going blader/cold/fire.

EDIT: im currently lv 47 right now, and a lv 25 cleric buffed me.
i dont now if it's like this in the lv 100's

in group pvp, you will have cleric. Normally and when you're just playing alone or messing around, having a cleric buff you is = cheating. If you 1v1 pvp, than use your own buffs. If it's group pvp, than cleric buffs are pretty common. Legit parties will usually have a cleric to buff and heal.

hes both right and wrong. Full cleric buffs at high lvls are better than full chin buffs but because he was at 25 and you were at 47, your buffs would have been better. not by much though.

So im guessing the buffs will not stack?
im considering just not getting the defensive buffs to save on SP..

No, the phys/mag def cleric buffs don't stack on top of your Chinese ice/fire buffs. And you may not always have a cleric in pt, so I'd say they are still worth it, even though cleric buffs last a long longer than Chinese buffs.

Certain buffs I read somewhere will stack but some of them are bugged - I read here about dance of magic/wizardry stacking but idk if that is fixed.
