Does Noise stay when I take off the Harp?

Does Noise stay when I take off the Harp?

I want to get a Bard sub on my Wizard just for noise, that way no mobs will be aggressive and my training would be 10 times easier.

I have to use the harp in order to activate the skill, but if I switch to my staff, will the buff go away?
