Of the word or of the ZERG itself?
ZERG is the red thing that is over your char's head in the top left and when u press on it you get super duper dmg for like... 1 min or so. The meaning is... it's cool

Back when I used to play Lineage II if I recall correctly, during a castle siege or whatever. People are running at you, lots at a time and was referred to as a zerg. Similar to rushing in Counter Strike.

zerk in SRO is short for Bezerk
zerk is activated when you hit tab, it causes you to do double damage to enemies, you take less damage, and you move insanely fast
it is also called rage
it recharges as you kill mobs, warlocks recharge faster due to some of thier skills, and you can get Bezerk scrolls from doing the final IVY Quest, which instantly recharge your zerk ability,
there was also an event where you got a zerk potion as well

It was called Rage, but not anymore lol, it was called Rage back during beta. Now everyone is all like "lolwut" when you say rage ^_^
