Why do nukers go hybrid builds?

If your supposed to be a nuker why do people go hybrid?
Is it because when using knock down and stab skills the STR makes them stronger?
Or they just add the STR to help them survive longer in pvp?
Wouldn't going pure int make your nukes stronger?

Planning to make a nuker could someone answer these questions for me.

It ISNT a waste of time.
As in, if you are an all int, you pretty much CANT wear protector. Because you need ALLL the phys protection you can get.

Hybrids can gear up in protector and there arent really any OTHER builds that can EASILY beat a hybrid apart from another hybrid.

They're lovely builds but if you're going to try I advise a 7:1
It gives very high damage but it's a good 1 and a half k more health.

It's all about trying stuff I guess.
Look at the hybrid guides.

I have a lvl 80 FULL int only spear nuker on Xian. She's a monster with dealing dmg but oh god does she die so easily lol

I still love her to bits.

Well some people (like me ) go hybrid because... they didn't know what to do in the beggining
But now, as a lvl 90 hybrid, i can say i love it.
I love the extra deff it gives me, i am in garments ATM because i fight in rock, all the way i was wearing prot and i have never had problems.
I am used to grind always on red or at least orange mobs. Doens't metter party or not.
My BF has a pure STR archer... and he wears better set than me atm.
I can tell you i don;t die at 82-83 when we make taxies. Never. But he does from time to time.
Also, I can tank Shaitan. Without party. without dieing. And he can't.
So.... those are my reasons why i love my hybrid
Not really the reasons why i started it, but it turned out a pretty good and fun build to play and I like ot better than all other chinese builds.

Bowers are not made for tankers anyways....

hybrids are unique...im a str hybrid...but didnt follow any style...i just added wateva i liked coz this is my first character...but i mean...its not bad...i like it...^^

Hybrids ARE good builds...just very VERY expensive to play.

One of my buddies (http://www.rev6.com/player.asp?id=665605) has a REALLY good character....it's a half half hybrid. I made fun of it...a lot...simply because a half-half suxors...

BUT, then I really observed him PVPing...since he's full sun (accessories, garments, and sosun+7 spear), he always won, regardless of the other person's build. His criticals hurt a lot and he had nukes...He was damaging like a pure int but...had 18Khp 22KMP (or something close to that).

This was at 80 cap...now his build....kinda suxors since he doesn't have that great of gear.

But, point is, if you have the money, hybrids are great. You just need to get gear to make up for the damage you lost. I'm perpetually poor, so I am pure int (I just need my npc + 3 sword. )

7:1 int means every 7 points of int you add you also add in 1 str

At this cap, 8:1 means 10 lvls of str so it's pretty similiar to a 7:1 at 80cap.

Please dont forget that adding str not only adds hp, but adds to your phy def as well.

New question Spear or Sword/Shield?

Spear really good dmg sword/shield good def and decent dmg, but from the videos i saw on youtube all hybrids go spear and they do pretty good. Also shield has that def buff thats really useful for ints but im not sure. Hope you guys can point out some good points on both things.

s/s hybrids are good with good gear, tho i prefer spear. A lvl87 1:4 hybrid s/s i know hits about 8-9k with a nuke on a lvl90 full str glaive. Or something like tht. I can't remember lol

i reckon a 1:4/1:5 is better than a 1:8. But it's ur choice between more defence or more damage.
