Got a Few questions

Post by rayden »

Well i started playing this game like 2 days ago. I been reading around on forums but having a hard time finding a few things.

1. What is the best pvp build, i want to play this game for straight killing and thievery.

2. I made a character with 44 str, 54 int 7 pacheon and 7 fire, I am lvl 12. Didn't really know what i was doing, did i already screw it up or can i still have a good pvp build out of that?

3. I used the search function but am having a hard time finding these things:
a. Good places to grind at
b. Description of all the jobs in detail
c. Everything else a beginner would need to know in order to do well.
d. Ways to make money so i can afford to buy a good pvp suit.

4. If you can offer me any advice or tell me common mistakes people make as a beginner so i won't have to go through it to, it would be nice.

Well first off.
I honeslty think there is no "Best" Pvp or Job build.
As for your skills I think You should look up some of the builds in the "Characters Skills" Fourms.
Hope this helps!

Every time that you level up you receive 3 points to divide between strength and intelligence. Since your are starting I would suggest to put all your points in intelligence or strength and make a full intelligence (wizzard like) or full strength (warrior like) character. Some of the best builds are full build. You can make hybrid builds, a mix of strength and intelligence, but you have to understand the game a bit better.

For more explanation about a build I suggest to take a look in the guides sections on this forum. And try to find a guild. Your guild mates will give you a lot of information on the game. They'll give you more explanation about the build, how to use your skills, how to job, show you good training areas, learn you play in party and lots of other stuff. The only thing that can not be undone with a character is the allocation of the strength/intelligence points, later in game you will have stuff to change skills and gain back a part of the used points. If you mixed your points over strength and intelligence you don't have to restart at your level, it will not influence your final build too much.

Good luck.

1. as the post above stated, it's hard to determine what is the 'best' pvp build...EVERY build is a good pvp build (with a good weapon/armor set). But i suggest going with a STR based build since ints are easier to get killed (euro anyways :P). If i were you i'd make a choice first between being a chinese char or a european char...then either become a bower (your current build), blader or glavier (too many of these lol). If you chose european..become a warrior or rogue

2. Well the most popular bow build is PURE STR but there are a lot of hybrids as well. but since your only lvl 12 now, it shouldn't matter...you could either keep going and keep adding ONLY STR from now on or restart your character OR make a hybrid bower (look at good guides in the guides tutorials section)

3. This question is really really broad lol. I was a beginner too once..had to learn everything myself :P. grinding spots are easy to find..just go find any silkroad map with monster charts on them...walk around and find a spot :P.

JOBS: trader: you trade from a city to next. a good way to make money (especially if your below 40). make sure to pack a lot of pots for your horse/camel as well.
thief: you steal 'loot' from other traders by killing them. but you have to be careful of any hunters around. you kill a trader..summon your own transport and use a 'bandit den return scroll' <--bought at thief town. then you have about 2-3 mins(?) to survive while your scroll is activating (like a really really slow return scroll)
hunter: you hunt thieves :D quite simple. you can accompany trade runs and kill the npc thieves along the way as well. also after completing a trade run, you can also get money from the hunter association.

best way to make money: trade runs, pick up EVERYTHING and STALL EVERY WEAPON/ARMOR...it's worth it rather than just npcing it..btw don't sell your elixirs for cheap :P (weapon elixirs-about 200k+, shield: 70k+, the rest about 30-50k+). also pray for a sos/som/sosun drop so you can make money :D. also a popular new way of making money is doing 'taxis'..but your still too low of a lvl to do so.

4. err can't think of any right now...but one piece of advice...DO NOT trust anyone with your account info...or with any money + items unless you know them for a loooong time. also plan your character ahead to save sp..and don't increase every tree lol.

advice learn to play your char well

if you dont like how your char is developing you can make a new char

doing this is easiest while your char is low

try to find a good guild master that will invite you into his guild and give you much free advice on building and playing your char

always be kind and thankful to all you play with

hope this helps

You have all the info u need here in those forums. But still, the info is so much for a beginer, that the search button doesn't always helps :)

The first thing i would advice you to read :) viewtopic.php?f=5&t=82102&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

Everything else you need to know: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=16698

Hmmm everything you wanna know is a bit general so....
Try browsing those guildes, you don't need to read all of them, just 1 from each kind :)
