Bloom Effect - does it make da gameplay look cooler?

Bloom Effect...yea i dont play with it on...for everything will start smudging...lol...so i dont rilli know wat bloom effect does rilli...

wat does bllom effect do and why should it b on...? and how come bloom effect smudges everything even if i play on a 8600 GT...?

I always got Bloom Effect enabled.

Bloom effect mixes colors so it looks more colorfull(and its also lighter).
I think if you set fixed(and max) anisotropic filtering(in GK properties) filtering it looks better.
For antialiasing leave it default as it looks blurry with higher values.

Background Draw Distance:

As the number of the game background increases, farther background can be seen, and as the number decreases, only nearby background will be displayed. The game speed can slow down as the number increases. 

Character Draw Distance:

Reflect Effect:

Water Detail:

Water detail is the degree of water effect, and as higher it goes the better the water will be displayed, but the game speed can slow down.

Metallic sheen:

Light Effect:

Light Effect is indicating an effect of light when(Sun/Torch) is shown and it will show higher quality effect with realism when the effect increases. 

Texture Detail:

Texture detail is the degree of texture detail.  An object or a thing's texture quailty will increase as texture detail increases. 

Lens Flare:

Lens Flare is expressing shining condition like a camera looking towards the sun. 

Bloom effect:

Bloom Effect is known as  blur effect which has a condition of  mixing colors moderately so it looks blurry 

Dynamic Animation:

Dynamic Animation is a technique of expressing better animation of fabrics, texture, and hair.

I only use it when doing screenshots. Dont have the best grfx card on my pc. Yes, it makes gameplay grfx cooler.
