About the CTF Event

As I logged into the game, I got that message saying the event started and whatnot, and at the end it mentioned unused tickets being deleted when the event ended. What do they refer to when they say "ticket?" Is that something you get in the event or is it referring to tickets such as the gold and silver ones I got when I made my character last week?

Tickets are items you receive in the capture the flag event whenever you kill a player or an animal (at least I think you get one when you kill an animal). They look like golden trophies and the gold and silver tickets you got when you created your character will stay with you and won't be deleted.
