Please read what he asked. SCAMMING is in a totally different league than STEALING.

Scamming is when you trick someone into believing they will gain some sort of profit. Weather this be to be leveled .. farmed .. obtain SoX or whatever. Only the willing get scammed thus it is their own fault.

Thing is as I said before, only the willing get scammed. If you think you will gain any type of advantage easily .. it's a scam 99.9% of the time. I have never been scammed as far as I can recall because I don't fall for this shit. I don't trust random people with my stuff at all.

Ofcourse scamming is unfair .. but it's only unfair to the person who gets scammed.

Crumps is actually right on what he is saying. Scamming is immoral, not illegal or illegitimate. Simple.

I wouldn't do it nor do i condone it. It happens and frankly people need to be more careful about their actions. Majority of the time if you get scammed its your own fault. Learn from your mistakes.

i have been scammed 50mil by a Egyptian guy and 10 mil for a weapon swithing tric 60 mil total..
and twice stripped my whole char by a Polish and German guy..

iMo, scamming is worse than botting.
Pk2 hacking invis/stealth is worse than botting.

Anyway.. let's say crumpets drops a sun 76 glavie for example, he can't use it / doesn't want it.
He decides to sell it.
He finds a buyer whom has a decent reputation on the server (and so does crumpets), yet neither of you have any items worth lots of gold so you can't trade like that.
Crumpets puts two pots in a stall for 1bil each, the buyer buys and crumpets runs away thinking hahaha noob.
So, to the thread starter.. is this good or bad? Would you do it? What happened to In7eam, does he get spamkilled in PvP and everyone hate him? If it was on Oasis he would and he should on saturn.

i would never scam a legit
but i would scam a botting, gold buying prick in an instant
cos they dont deserve it anyways

If someone wants to give me a weapon elixir I won't stop them. (Even if it could have something to do with me changing the amount of gold from 300k to 30k just before I hit accept).

If something is unfair to a person, it shouldn't be done. Of course scamming isn't on the same level as other "wrong" acts, or crimes though. If I steal your car, it is unfair to you (not unfair to me), but I should still be punished. Same with scamming.

If a person gets scammed it is ENTIRELY that persons own fault. Need not argue about it .. it's a fact. I have said it 2-3 times before in this thread .. and I'll say it again. A person will only get scammed if he thinks he is gaining the advantage over the situation. IE: Getting something for too cheap, recieveing a free upgrade or selling something for wayyy too much. I would go as far as to say I applaud scammers in this game. It filters out all the muppets who should not be playing an online game. Seeing as they are the first to cry and bitch about ingame antics. I know no one personally that ever got scammed. Why ? Because I don't associate with little gullable children.

Yeah I guess it's pointless to try and argue that scamming is wrong "for everyone." I believe it was you somewhere above in this thread that said scamming is only wrong because society says it is wrong. I can agree to that. Scamming is wrong in my eyes, and many, many other people's eyes. Of course there are other societies out there who may feel that scamming is a perfectly fine way to do business.

Similarly, I've heard about some cultures who often have a hard time dealing with copyright laws in the USA because they don't see it as copyright infringement. They see it as sharing ideas. That sharing is fine in their eyes, but a crime, or seen as "stealing" to many in the USA (for example).

So this is mine...
Due to some surcumstences, i know and i can unlock almost every car in less than 5 mins. So if i come and unlock and steal your car, or not steal it but get somethink that is worth it and you have forget it inside, that is still your fault? And i am right to steal it?
Scamming is not good. For leggits or botters, idk, but scamming is a part of th game and yes, if you are dumb enough you will get scammed.
What to say about the taxis? You give someone money to lvl u up and he runs away? It's still your fault? Come on....
I personally have been scammed once, just because i was too dumb to play around wth a scmmer He was changing the prisec in his stall, and i was completely aware he wants to scam me but i thought i am fatser than him. Well i wasn't
For me the scammers should be punished not by joymax, but by the silkroad society. Same way the booters are punished.
