Hello. This is Silkroad Online.
Silkroad's 32nd server, Eos, will open on Oct 07, 2008 Silkroad Standard Time.
Server Name : Eos
Open Date : Oct 07, 2008 Silkroad Standard Time
We hope you welcome this new server to the Silkroad Online community and enjoy the new experiences there.
P.S. Actually not gaia again it just says the topic name on silkroadonline.net
Now with the fact gaia opened a few weeks ago. Who will do what? Find out on another edition of SRO Server Drama!

Had to do some research on the name
greek goddess eos
Eos the Goddess of Dawn
Eos the goddess of Dawn was the daughter of two Titans, Hyperion and Theia. She was the sister of Helios (the Sun) and of Selene (the Moon).
The goddess of Dawn once had an affair with Ares, that's why Aphrodite (the official lover) became very jealous and punished Eos to be eternally in love. That's why the Greek goddess Eos had many love affairs, especially with mortals.
Each mornig, she would rise up, in her golden chariot, to the Sky, and scatter the shadows of the night. Then she would open the gate for the Sun's chariot. Homer often calls her, in the Iliad and in the Odyssey, the "rosy fingered".
When she fell in love with someone, she would just kidnap the guy and that's that! She kidnapped the giant Orion (who was a genuine Mr. Wrong) and took him to the island of Delos.
When she fell in love with a Trojan, named Tithonus, she kidnapped him and took him to Ethiopia. The had two sons, Memnon and Emathion. They loved each other so much, that Eos asked Zeus to grant Tithonus eternal life. That's what Zeus did - but, when asking something, you should choose your words carefully! Eos the goddess of Dawn forgot to also ask for youth, so Tithonus grew older and older. Eos locked him in her palace, because she was didn't want to see him any more. The poor Tithonus shrank until he became a grasshoper.
In the Trojan war, Memnon fought against Achilles. Their mothers, Eos the goddess of dawn and Thetis, ran to Zeus, each of them asking mercy for her son. Zeus put their "fates" on the scales. As Memnon's "fate" was heavier, he was the one who had to die. Eos begged Zeus to give her son immortality, then she took her son and transported him to Ethiopia, where he became king. The tears she cried for Memnon, when he was dead, turned into the dew we see each morning on the fields.
While being married to Tithonus, she fell in love with Cephalus, who was married to Procris. Eos tried to convince him to flee with her, but he refused, because he was in love with his wife. Eos the goddess of Dawn told him there was no problem to cheat on his wife, because she cheats on him too. In order to prove this, she gave Cephalus a different look. He went to his wife (who didn't recongnize him, of course) and managed to seduce her. Procris ran away, ashamed of herself, and Eos... Guess what she did? Why, she kidnapped him, of course ! and took him to Syria, where they had a son, Phaeton. But Cephalus left her very soon and returned to his wife.
She had a thing for mortals, but she could appreciate a god, too. With Astraeus she had several children, the Winds (Zephyrus, Boreas, Notos), Eosphoros and the Stars.

yeh sighhh, 32 servers, older servers are plain dead, no one jobs and stuff and the only new people you see are new gold bots are second chars from people alrdy capped...

For weeks it was: omgosh whens gaia comming? People join me in gaia and whos going to gaia threads.
With less than a weeks notice, we get to miss this crap hopefully.

I don't think as much are jumping boat to this server like Gaia, plus from the looks of it, gaia has some nice legit presence.

Lol JM are too blind to see that the real reason there new server is already full of people is that there is a serious botting problem
Come on i know they have financial reasons not to ban some, but what about the majority - the gold bots?

I don't know, maybe they just don't care, or maybe the goldbotters just have too many resources to keep botting, also undectable? Maybe they only ban people who use old bots?

They don't care, they just don't give a shit. One of my friends was in Vent last night and just for shits and giggles decided to prank phone call Joymax's Customer Support and play the whole conversation through Vent (if I can get a copy of it, Ill post it here). Basically, after being put on hold several times, he finally got a hold of a representative, and made up some fake ass story about how his goldbots arent working, how he has the latest bot and what not... and the guy on the other line just repeats over and over to send a bug report on Joymax's site. It was like he was either didn't care or had no grasp of the English language, which is skeptical to me because the guy didn't have a thick Asian accent and spoke clearly. All he ever said was to submit a bug report.

A gaming company wants to satisfy their consumers needs. Without consumers, JM won't make money. When people stop having fun they stop playing. Simple concept.
The majority of people want to be strong. They resort to buying gold to be strong. Now if JM bans gold bots, gold buyers ( who probably buy a lot of silk too ) are unsatisfied. Unsatisfied customers may lead to them quitting, which = loss of money.
Ignore all the legit pressence and people who don't buy gold and you have JM's business plan.

it would cost a looaad of money to expand the server capacity to 9-10k,
but then they'd have less servers to maintain and it would be easier to do server checks.
I hope someone makes a new char on Eos and makes a vid of all the new bots to assure them that it will just end in another REVENGE OF THE GOLDBOTS again

Because who would play a game where gold can be brought legitimately? By letting the gold bots be the "middle man" it seems so much more believable, like they are a company simply not good enough to ban the bots. It's win win for everyone, par legits.
