jangan gambling area (look map jangan if you dont know where it is,, behind trade shop) ,, talked to NPC's there,, and they where saying there wherent any betts on ATM,

so my question,, is JM going to introduce gambling / casino games,, lottery etc?

would be nice in my opinion

those npc's are old i saw them already back at 70 cap,, so is it something JM forgot? or are they useless

no, this was against the law in some regions -_____- so they're not allowed to do it in Isro.

They dont do it in Isro because of the high chance to CCF I beleive.

not necessarily to be CCF
You can gamble with gold.. for example

there is no casino atm, so you cant compare it to any other xD

I believe it is used in other more civilized versions (cSRO/kSRO) for events.

It could be interesting....they would need to make it something like every week you can get 1 lottery ticket, and the jackpot is something like 50m. It needs to be low enough the high levels wont just gold bot 500 chars for it, but enough to matter to someone thats 80+. Basically, botters ruin this.

You can play poker in Ulitma Online for Gold against other players. It pretty fun and I wouldn't mind some gambling myself.

I think kSRO has it. Buy a ticket, get some random item.

if you want to gamble, give me some gold, and see how much i give back. chances are 1/100000000 that i will give it back.

I think i've seen something like this in kSRO... (i'm not sure exactly what it was) but i think you had to buy a ticked with silk and then you can get some prize and stuff...
There was a screen of the gambling NPC or machine or whatever somewhere in the Other SRO versions section....

Actually they are a part of a chinese quest. Yes, a quite hard quest, but still, theyre not forgotten, left there for no purpose at all :}

Silkroad is already based on gambling and the addictions that go along with it
it'd get even worse if they'd open the lottery in jangan like in the other versions of sro

buy tickets, and u can even get sox items, or lose all your real cash ofc

since gambling isnt lawful in some countries - isro will never get it

Can you give more details on that quest, because i think i haven't done it...or i probably forgot it?

well that quest has the only "story" in silkroad i think, but it has nothing to do with gambling..
they talk about the gambling house or something, but you can't gamble...

first time i did that quest i thought that i could gamble after i finished it... i was wrong

there is also a char along the road to the west gate in Constanople
who does nothing,
maybe later he will be important
(not close to the road but back by the houses about mid way)

you mean the clergy? You have to give his hat to uvetino as far as i know

If it's the NPCs that are between the trade shop and the grocery trader, down a set of steps, then there is a quest somewhere around level 30-40 or so. I forget all of what it involves, but you have to get lottery tickets I believe, and a flute from the ferry ticket seller between the dead ravine and hotan. I remember running all over the place for that quest, and having to hand things into those Jangan NPCs in a proper order and timing to get it done right.

It's been a while so the details are a bit fuzzy.

Edit: There are also other NPCs I've noticed.

- some Islamic NPC in Jangan next to the trade shop.
- NPC in Hotan between the east gate and south gate, near the staircase to the water where a couple turtles are.
- NPC on Roc Mountain in the Shephard's Town by the south-west peak.
- NPC on Roc Mountain in another abandoned town north of the Shephard's Town one.

Casinos and whores would be nice

that is the one way down a path along from the road to the north gate

there is another char about 1/2 way to the west gate, if i remember correctly he is a butler, or security gaurd to the governor(mayor) house
