Damn that happened to me at 70 cap w/a 42 som blade, crit went from 9-1, then the stones would always work, but stay at 1

OT- just keep trying, you'll have a lucky assimilation.

Nah, each level is different for me. For level 80, yes only the crit is what I'm grinding for since nothing else has been pushing me to play. Other than that, there are times I would grind to finish farming, get new skills, get new equipment, etc.

Alchemy can be your best friend or your worst enemy. I spent almost all my stocks of Wind 9 trying to get some HP on my level 80 legs for my robe. It went something like:

Failed.
Failed
HP -> 70
HP 70 -> 30
Failed
HP 30 -> 250

Then I figured, if it hit 250, I bet I can get this one to max out, right? Wrong, went straight back from 250 -> 30. No more Stamina tabs or Wind 9 to do that again, and I'm not about to go and buy them -- way too expensive.

Yet when I was pimping out my 8th degree gear, I got HP 400 (100%), MP 400 and STR 3 and INT 5 mostly off of at most two tries. That's life, I suppose -- have a drink.

lol a few stone and it puts you off.

I've used over 50 stones to try and get back my phy.att.pwr back to 80% on my weapon.

ive been lucky lately, made some str stones, then i got +5 str on the first garment piece, and +4 on the second, next day i tried another piece and it when from 1 > 5 + str

Happened to me twice, once with 80+5 bow c10->2, got c4 and sold it for cheap =.= and once with 85+7 bow c8->2, but managed to get it back to c8 after 60m of challenge stones

My concept of alchemy is to make a 1-3/10 weapon
to around 6-9/10 without big effort, rather than making it unique(10/10)

that means even if it fails i wont sacrifice alot of money on 1 single object.

Alchemy is a fools game, you should just play it reasonably and be happy with what you got

I feel your pain dude, you are not alone. This is motivatin me to form a support group Alchemy Victims Anonymous... failed alchemy, assimilation, 100 stones for HP 30 -- all that shit, it breaks hearts, messes up happy gamin time, destroys self-confidence... you're not alone dude. :cry:

my 88 head would not +4 i spent ~ 50-60 elixirs on it it finally went.. dont stop tryin. then it went str 6 int 6 hp 600 parry 30% magice 250 >.> all within 3 stones of each kind.

My sword went crit 3 > 15 (100%) in 1 tab lol.

85 Bow got to crit 10 (80%) in about 35 tabs.

Same here, I can get str5/6 hp600 very quickly, but I'll burn through 30+ elixers for +4, and like 100+ fo +5.

only in game gold I earn from working with in the market.

I'm not spending 300-400m + on a weapon that I can make for 150m or less.

i had the same problem with my 68 bow, it was crit 6 and i was like hmmz +40% should be easy enough to improve even if it only goes to crit 7 ^^,

22 crit stones later it was +20% (Crit 4) and it never went higher then 6. i was going for 8 or more but still never even went crit 7.

I couldn't agree more. I have no plans of ever trying to pimp tons of stats on a weapon. Sometimes I'll buy a cheap 8D weapon, throw a few elixirs on it to get it to +3 or so, and sell it for some profit, but that's about it. Alchemy can be such a waste of money.

My best weapons were always ones that I just bought from stalls. I miss my 52+3 SOS 100% full blue blade on Venice. That blade had crit 15!

I tend to get lucky with attributes and blues... got 18crit after 3 tries and 100% int /str after 4-5 tries with the stones.
