I'm playing a game called cabal online now.

I really like the way they manage Farking botters.
They have a stall channel
The training channels gives everyone at random times an image verification code window so...

Training AFK players = Go Back Town if they fail to type the codes

Hope iSRO have this game feature too...
It is amazing...

This is Joymax we are talking about, that wont happen.

that would be booring and would make you die while grinding

It was like the pop out quest we see when we leveled up
5 character words to type won't kill you
I think if Joymax will have this feature SRO will be a Legit Game..

That would piss me of big time, I dont have problem with losing exp while dieing, but to get back to rok mountain again takes to much times. They should make mobs drop reverse return scrolls, you cant buy them at NPC but mobs drop them.

what version is it? Na's don't have a verification code for when your grinding, or atleast it didn't bother me when I was punching to lvl up my skills, don't see the point of botting in that game anyway. Lvling is so easily.

The bot programmers would just take an extra step by inserting a image reader. Theres already a re-log program that reads it.. It wouldn't do anything .. just make the bot programmers do more work

PH, just had one just today... Im not sure if this is done regularly but it's just a good anti bot feature.

in the middle of a unique fight, working hard to stay alive while doing damage, bam! verification pops up and ur dead.

in the middle of euro party grinding. ur the cleric and ur trying hard to heal and keep ur pt alive, bam! verification pops up and ur dead, so is ur whole party, and 7 people pissed off at you.

your botting and having a grand old time, bam! verification pops up and your bot automaticly bypasses it, just like the bots get passes the log in screen, and you keep right on botting and finding ur sosun gearz.

hmmm.... i wonder who this system would benefit and who it would hurt...

When will u ppl realise if they ban player bots, game will die most boters who buy bot buy silks too even for few chars, so forget it.

Well, you don't need to type those codes immediately as it pops out,
It also doesn't takes you out of the game, it's just a small box somewhere in your screen, got a timer on it(not sure how long, 1min 2mins??) so i dont see any point of you dieng while grinding...

He said it pops up when you level up like a quest.

It pops out at random time, not when you leveled up but the window looks like a quest pop out(when you leveled up). sorry for the confusion

^yuh, and that sounds do-able

... and the bots will bypass it and Silkroad will become more wierder and more retarded game.

Well, a game is played not watched. Good players are leaving already anyway.
Imagine a Silkroad as a legit game... This is what legit players want.

I've heard about this, but like the others said its freakin JM we're dealin with, and if there is a bot prog that reads the image captcha, it'll just be all for naught. But if they can have it workin well then it'd be a great and welcomed addition.

Just got an idea and i don't care if it can be done here

first time u need to type an image verification code when u log on 3500/3500 ( some guy try 180 times thn he menage to log in ) and after that shit


u try have some fun after u needed 3 hours to log in and booooooom! an image verification code again and next fase will be an image verification code every 1 hour lol !!!!! for me its like double murder

it's very simple to resolve the problem created u mentioned above:

- poped up windows is small like 200*300 size.
- pop up only when user is in combat state


Image code function will be put in server side. If someone how the client didnt receive the code (because bot block it), or didnt recieve any respond associated with the code (coz bot bypass or ignore it), client DC
No respond => stop transmitting data to the client

SRO have autopot, Cabal doesnt. If sro fail with it, then why not cabal?

botters will be like, well its a lovely day, im going outside drink something in the sun, read a book, or swim what so ever, and bot will surpasse image verification for them

Instead of debating about anti-bot pop ups, how about we debate the fact that we have too many servers with almost no GMs to support the amount of servers.

Joymax has made the "base" of Isro too weak and if you have a weak base you have a weak system. 5 servers with ACTIVE GMs will wipe out the majority of the problems. And if you want to say, "what about transfering servers and having similiar names?", give them an option to change name or to start over.

Useless, unless they use a really professional captcha like one that involves mathemathical operations. The current one is really primitive, anyone can break it so it would take a few hours for a bot company to update.

And to add to what I have already said, TURN F**KING GAME GAURD ON OR GET A NEW SYSTEM!! Game gaurd has not be active since 2006 and the account creation is TOTALLY LAME. I am a web designer and I see TOO MANY BUGS AND HORRIBLE CODING in the account creation system.

1. Turn game gaurd on or get a new system.
2. Compact servers and make GMs active again.
3. Fix the account creation problem.
4. Update exploits ASAP.

No need for pop ups.
