Someone explain Lightning Chain and if it's fair?

So how do the effects get added? Is it all on the first? middle or last strike? Is it randomly added? Is there any order to how division, impotent or bleed is added? Why is it that other skills like kb have the % on every move and lightning chain is the only one where it can only get added randomly on 1 strike instead of all 6?

just like u both? :p
OT:they're added in da middle of da chain, and there's no order. So, if u kb or stun fast enough, u wont get any status, even if da chain starts.

they are added randomly...you can do lightning chain 2 times and not get anything on someone...yet others you can get division and stuff first try....and another tip... if you use lightning imbue...your debuffs from light chain will affect who ever the lightning splashes on ^^

Why division is better than bleed ?
do both do the same thing?
any1 got any information, how much defense do they take away on lvl 9 ?

On 3 out of the 6 hits you can get a status. It's randomly added.

bleed is like a lower version of Division but its also a DoT.... division basically cuts their defense in half....

lol division?
division can't go through holy spell, therefore for me its useless.
and if you're fighting someone without holy spell then its probably a pvp that doesn't mean anything.

3/6? Just wondering, where did you get that ratio from?

Why is it that w/o holy spell means that it's a pvp doesn't matter? Maybe most of us don't think it's fair to have a personal team of 8/8 buffers including bards and clerics to pvp. Maybe a good pvp that actually means something is when it's just you and you alone fighting to see who is better.

me and my friends tested that a lot already
bleed is the only status that goes trough holy spell
bleed does some damage over time and reduces your phy and mag def in about 300 points
division is the best status you can get and greatly increase your damage( by reducing opponents defence )... the difference cant be noticed on you def... only on the damage
impotent reduces enemy damage
for what we tested
a lvl 90 FF nuker increase his nuke dmg by about 2k with bleed and about 4k with division
(but that was on a heavy armor warrior)
i think the damage increase is different on other ppl with higher mag def ofc
if he manages to get division + bleed the damage increases A LOT, like he was hitting me 15k before and 21k after
>_<

I think it's like this
Hit 1 - Nothing
Hit 2 - Bleed
Hit 3 - Nothing
Hit 4 - Impotent
Hit 5 - Nothing
Hit 6 - Division.
Each have a chance of landing on the target, though of course division lands the least out of the three.

you think its gonna matter if you can kill someone 1v1 when you can't in 5v5 or 8v8? lol
you dont job alone, you dont do ctf alone, you dont do fortress wars alone, you dont do guild wars alone. It's a party game, and in party play there is holy spell, and if there isn't what kinda shit 8 person chinese team are you fighting? there is ALWAYS a cleric, even if its a submastery or else the party hasnt been built right.

I have yet to find someone I can't kill in 8vs8 when I can kill them in 1 vs 1. Unless someone on their team is stupidly higher lvl than me.

Since when did PvP become PlayerS Vs. PlayerS? I always thought it was Player Vs. Player. If I want to play CTF, I go to CTF. If I want to Guild war, I go to a guild and war. If I want to do Fortress War I go to Fortress. If I want to PvP then i'll GO PvP. If a moron who happens to be buffed by a european character or attacks me in 2v1. Then I will take off cape and not PvP them. Wait until someone is willing to test our PvP battle and go somewhere away from dckwads and actually PvP.

that's true you CAN do that, but ever since Euro race was implemented the game shifted towards party play. You can't PVP anymore single handedly, most would help others even if it's cape wars. So the better you can handle multiple enemies, the better your build is.

You realize that makes no sense? YOU GO to PVP yet you don't PvP and just gotta tank numerous people? I simply tell them 1v1 no euro buffs and no help. Follow me around the corner. Best of 5. Winner wins and we can try again some other time. Saying you can't PVP anymore single handedly is like accepting botters. As long as you don't support noobs who 2v1 or get euro buffed and avoid PvPing with them. They will drop such activities to be able to PvP.

people take cape fights too seriously, thats not the main focus of the game, cape fights are like sparing not real fighting

Lighting chain = 3 status..
Bleed lvl 9 (20% chance)
Division lvl 9 (20% chance)
Impotent lvl 9 (20% chance)
When u use lightchain its 6 combo hits..
First hit 20% chance to add one of them (bleed , divison or impotent).. its random witch one will be added first..
each hit have 20% chance to add one status..
If you read on the skill u will understand..
When ur lightning chain is max lvl status lvls will be 9..
So lvl 1 holy spell is useless( only immune vs lvl 8 status )
holy spell lvl 2 is usefull( immune vs lvl 9 status exept bleed)
division = less mag / phy deff -
bleed = less mag / phy deff -- for 30 sekunds
impotent = less mag / phy power -

I know this topic is very old but I feel I must point out that this is correct, division lands the least because it is the last hit and the chain is usually interrupted by then, bleed lands the most because it occurs very early in the chain.
also when I found this I was looking for what lvl lightning chain gains lvl 9 status's....its lvl 5 at lvl 81 right?
