so im waiting at isy for 3hrs.. shes late....

then i log in again! w/o prem! but..... again dc with ???? error

my graphics card drivers are up to date but WHY IS IT DOING THIS REGULARLY!!!!!!

Driver problem
or overheated graphicscard (too many graphical programs up)

Ignore what people say about it being a driver related problem. I'd say 95% of the time it is a Silkroad related problem. The game is so full of bugs that blaming it on yourself would be ludicrous. I have my drivers updated 100%, no overheating problems, everything is up-to-date and I'll still get the error. Hell you get it from a stall net related bug, doesn't seem so driver related.

just quit the game is trying to tell you that.

ok yes my hd i think is packing up and whatnot and maybe i had a heating problem...

but atm (cuz i had the CLICKING NOISE OF DEATH from my hdd) i hav both panals off the case, the hard drives are practically outside and the whole thing breathes easy

Got that too, on only one of my two pc's. The other one is already like 4years old.

But the case that it is only on ONE of the two makes me think it's not purely a silkroad problem, more that sro is not compatible with your video card...

Edit: Oh then it's still a sro problem

Addition: Also, I only get the ???? error outside town while afk (just sitting at a safe spot). Inside towns I can safely go AFK without having to be afraid of the ?????...

U can play with 2/4 (or more) cores again

alot of ppl used to dc at isy long time ago when fighting it, same error prolly still happens at certain spawns

I used to get the ????? all the time on my old pc, POS e-machine... But on the comp I just built I think I've had the ???? error once in about 6 months.

If this only happen when you are in share party make sure you unchecked quick party buff view, its one of the last tabs in your game options, for most players this solves that ??? error.

where there is a bigger gap between players on the left hand side of ur screen so u can see what buffs they are using

Sorry i don`t have sro installed or i would make some screenshots for you.

You can see your party members buff while being in share under their picture (the party members are shown left side of your screen where u can also see their 2 main mastery.

Removing quick party buff view does not show their buffs when they are in range.

I am pretty sure its in game options, last tab probably somewhere close to the window mode option.

well... i didnt hav this problem last time... thats what i dnt understand! i hav 2gig virtual memory, 2g ram. drivers updated, firewall off.. sys restore. disk clean up, disk defrag. reinstal sro, re download it... every thing

yes because i cant ACTUALLY play the game.

grind on black eagles for 2mins dc, grind anywher 2mins dc. dc on ctf. dc in plvl. dc when yarkan spawned. dc in caves. same error.

any new downloads that could be the problem?

Its probably your graphic card unable to handle such mess when the spawns come out =\ get some extra RAM on the way too. No wonder you haven't been able to quit after so much tries

In case you're running XP, i'd suggest to get SP 3, I did so and the amount of ????? errorsreduced enormously.

Thats bad luck, actually almost the same happened to me

Firewall off? Bad bad idea.

its not dl's or nything like that.

i reformated my pc installed windows updated my drivers nd now the network card wont work.

sp3 i need to dl nd i cant, network card atm wont work.

same pc same gfx card same everything but a new hdd cuz the other1 died. but that cant cause my network card 2 nt run.

firewall on and off, looked at tech help and did all 7 steps pretty much.

people are saying you have done something different from when it was working. but i cant find what im not doing or what i am doing wrong.

for now, i cant play sro at all,
for now, i quit

3 firewalls 4 passive virus scanners 2 pop up blockers

no problems at all only random premium dc's but i dont mind because for some reason server became less crowded (or alot of peeps have those dc thingys xD and i dont xD)

JM loves me xD

just reformatted and refreshed drivers, installed direct x and .NET framework.
