My stupid union mate was stupid and he bought gold from a gold selling company has been doing it for the past month, and today he bought 1 billion gold and only got paid 400 mil, and they made him wait all day and said that they didnt have it so he got mad and charged back everything he bought from them on paypal, for the past month he been buying gold from them, now hes scared hes gonna get banned.. lol im sorry im just bored.. just thought i tell you how dumb people are. you think he will get his money back? from paypal>?

i just figured that they could because its just like if you buy something at the store. if you take it back to get your money back, your returning the item. sence hes probly not going to return the gold. i would figure the gold company has a right to try and get it back, or not give you your money back.

Gold companies can't really do anything since they're selling the gold which is against the tos and it isn't part of Joymax.

reason I asked is I half way signed up at emusic.com cuz I wanted my 50 free songs for buying a new sound card, well I started to sign up to recieve it and noticed that that wanted you to sign up for a monthly membership to download songs and in doing this then you will get your 50 free songs, so I was like screw that, and never finished the final steps like selecting a plan with them or confirming anything. yet beginnign of this month I noticed a charge on my card for $11.99, so I contacted them by email and never got anything back.. so I guess in a case like that you goto your bank and tell them the case and they will try to resolve the issue?

IF Joymax did have something going with these gold companies, it will be interesting to see if he does get banned in the next week, or possibly bot ban.

If he doesn't, I'm not going to commend him on his work, because the fact he intended on buying gold, and had been over the past month is against SRO T&C. Though it is good to see a goldbot company lose out.

Tons of people ccf gold and botcards from these companys all the time joymax never bans them so they either have nothing to do with those companys or don't care enough to ban for it. The don't bother to ban people who bot a char just to ccf astral/immo for their mains either and that's easily traceable so who knows. At least they didn't used to, haven't talked to my friend that used to do all this stuff for over a year now.

Last time I checked, there is no "law" on the issue of selling virtual items. Don't mix "illegal" as in "state/country law" and "illegal" as in "against a game's rules".

Selling the gold was a "transaction".

Despite that though, I doubt gold companies sue their customers (for many other reasons).

Um hi. LOL where did you get the idea that SROs gold botters are from china? It may be true for WOW but in SRO it is not the case at all. Most of these companies buy from your friends and neighbors and are based in europe canada and the USA. Still they can't do a thing as has been said they are breaking rules etc themselves.

Now I know that you will say, that you met Playerbots which have said that they run goldbots, and sell gold afterwards, right? That may be true, but these players are nothing, I define goldfarmer as in a guy who runs 200 chars on each server or more, there may be playerbots which run 4-5 extra chars, but that's not called goldfarming. They maybe sell 100m monthly or something, to buy a prem or something like that. The main goldfarmers are from china, and they are nice, remember, no one forces anyone to buy gold, just because there is gold, doesn't mean that you need to buy it, you as in everyone who buys gold(i know you don't). Most playerbots that say that they run goldbots just want to sound cool, etc. Every single gold company for sro is located in China. If you can speak and understand chinese, you can ask an goldseller something in chinese, and you will see that every one of them speaks it.

Just because someone is less egregious does not make them not a gold farmer.(yay double negative!) And many player bots run way more than 4-5 extra char but W/E. Playing the malay version of PW I had occasion to contact some of these gold selling companies on legitimate business. Though as soon as a better alternative came up I stopped using those companies even for legitimate business. As for being in china I find that odd as when I had to take a call from them to verrify who I was it came from the UK. Every time I talked to a rep he had a distinctive UK accent. I even got a rep or two who had a rather heavy cockney accent. I find it astounding that they can't teach support workers in India to speak with clear english, yet the chinese can not only do that but mimic UK accents.

Hey. We're not talking about PW, right? Like I have said, you can simple google for "Silkroad Online Gold", open 10 sites, join livechat/add them to msn, and ask them from where they are, every one will tell you malaysia/china, or just start talking in chinese. Playerbots are not goldfarmers, goldfarmers live from goldfarming, do you really believe any single playerbot lives from goldfarming? I doubt it. Playerbots do sell gold like I have stated before when as example they need a prem, or something else, but I wouldn't call them goldfarmers, since their main priority isn't to farm gold, but to annoy other users and get a bigger e-peen. There's not a single playerbot that runs any massive amount of goldbots(30+), most invite goldbots to their guild and act as they run them, just about e-peen.
