Hi, to fix your problem with the start button not showing up try with downloading the patch from SilkroadOnline.net. It's a manual patch to version 1,158.

My desktop patched it's self but my laptop wont. Can I find the patch file on my desktop somewhere?

When i try to extract it it says
"Silkroad" no set up.
Please make manual patch after installation..

NOTE: You have to have Silkroad "installed" and have correct registry keys set. If you have installed other SRO versions on top of ISRO, this patch will not work for you. Best bet then is a reinstall unless you have a second computer to copy files from if it only has ISRO on it.

I copied into SRO folder and ran to update, worked fine on computer that had ISRO registry keys set correctly.

Got to 700kb/s on the torrent, then it was done. Didn't even take 30 seconds.

You need to have the correct install path in you registry.

for example:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Joymax\Silkroad]
"InstallPath"="C:\Silkroad"

I tried to download patch no peers.. Tryied to rein stall sro still no update

I also copied to sro folder and run and I get this error?

Mines been loading for about 45mins, and its at 40%. Anyone elses taking this long?

Start > Run > Type in "Regedit"

expand > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Joymax > Silkroad

Right-click in the right window > highlight new and select "string value"
name the string value "InstallPath" and hit enter.

now right click on your new string value and hit modify
in the value data type in your silkroad directory
