what is going on?

I am currently on a new char in pluto and theres about 50-75 bots just running back and forth from storage to blacksmith over and over... are these goldbots or what? what are they doing and is there any way to mess them up?
edit: ok now its from spawn to storage to herbalist and then out. hundreds of them....

Follow them, they're probably being killed by lightning thieves once they leave town I would assume seeing as theres that many of them in town.

Could be a programming error
Or it could be "storage day".. but I dont see why they would run repeatedly back and forth in that case..

Bot trap I guess... follow the bot flow and you'll see the trap.

I would say probably they are teleporting back to town with a full inventory, storing it, repairing equip, buying pots, and going back out to grind. As someone above mentioned, these bots are probably being killed by a bot trap.
The back and forth is probably them emptying storage when it gets full to NPC everything.
