PK2 Edit: need help with skills

Can I edit my blader kd and stab skills to look like lvl120 ones? I followed some guides, but I cant find the strings. Seems like the .pk2 files r changed.

search for: skill_ch_sword_knockdown_a.ban (this is the first book, _b is the second, etc)
replace with:
skill_ch_sword_knockdown_f.ban (6th book)

please ignor this! find and replace is fail! stop using this method. thats the reason u dnt get what u want
Fail. Messing with Data is only necessary if you intend on modifying the raw game resources, whether it be changing textures or meshes. i mess with data files for 1 thing and that is to see textures.
Find and replace has its place, but if you want to make lots of changes it's better to use regex. Not only that, but extracting the file gives you better "version control" so to speak. Plus if all you ever care to learn is find and replace, you are missing out on so many opportunities to create something new.Crumpets wrote:Find and replace is not a sin. The tutorial is great, but it seems like it's very different to edit bow skills and blade skills.
Could u please edit the two files for me and somehow send them to me, so that all I need to do is import? I know it sucks to ask u to do all the work, but I feel really retarded about this.
