Hey

So tell me, why do you play silkroad?

I've recently got a VISA-card so, now finally, i can buy my own silk. But when i sit with the card in my hand i suddenly don't feel like buying it... I mean, what's the point? It's only a constant battle between boters and legits and it isn't exactly fun to get owned in pvp buy someone you know bots. From my point of view, a game that so many people spend so much money on shouldn't necessarily have these problems.

But bots wasn't the thing i wanted to discuss in this topic, what i want to know is:
→ What your motivation is? Is it the guild and friends perhaps?

It's a game where botting and leveling up is the central goal and that 100% there is no chance of banning unless you use client less or an outdated bot.

SO unless you can find your own fun with friends and detach yourself from everyone else and genuinely enjoy playing this game despite its horrendous grind and repetitiveness ( like legit on Venus ), then..

This game has no point.

Especially this game.

I play for these reasons...
1. I live out in the country so there's nothing to do with my friends
2. I'm homeschooled....in being so I can finish my school pretty dang fast if I ever just sit down and do it
3. I need something to do from 2-11....and my older bro just went to collage so now all I have are my little bros ...and their pains 99.9% of the time = p
3. I like the game...bots or no bots it's the best F2P game that I can play on my crappy internet

i play the game mostly because tv is semi boring,

To pass the time when bored..

its the spare time i have besides, going to collage, going to work, going to my GF's place or her coming here, going out with my other friends, going out skateboarding, going to the place where i am currently training archery (or however you say that) Or going to soccer practice,

so my motivation is, the little spare time i have i rather not waste in front of the television unless some auwesome movie is on the tv so i rather go play a game, one of the next 3 that is, CoD2 (Call Of Duty 2), TMNF (Trackmania Nations Forever), SRO (Silkroad Online)

- The goldbots
- DCing
- 24/7 Server Traffic

Still, without them where would we be?

Once my motivation was because my IRL friend was playing and told me how great this game was, and then when I joined magically it was the same time that bots completely raped the game, so I rarely play now.

I play video games because...i got a sun ^_^

If you don't think it's fun to play sro, then don't play it.

i play because i like the jobbing system, no other mmorpg has this type of pvp.

@Troopa That's one of the things that makes it hard for me to find another game, i like the job system too. Like in WOW, yeah sure BG is fun but it's not the same thing... The funny part is that i never been high level enough to actually play as a thief or a hunter haha. Really weird ^^

I think that Silkroad wouldnt be that fun without Server Traffic ...
I mean, thats the first challange you need to face , when you start SRO...
When you beat it , you are happy ...

Don't use that attitude on me smartboy, won't get you anywhere. It's the question you should ask yourself when your insecure "Do you think it's fun?" if no, f*ck it, if yes, continue.

But that wasn't the question i was asking >.< I asked what peoples motivation for playing was, not if i liked playing it myself. >.< And you didn't exactly answer that question so unless you're going to post anything relevant to the main question i suggest you... *Grrrrr....*

i enjoy almost all parts of the game like the skills and conflict system but lately ive been thinking about playing WoW

Exactly the reason I endure all the bots and crap and lag. Because of the jobbing. ^^

@ Mcclane, I'm glad you said the the skills, i almost forgot about them, and it's true that they are cool. I like them cuz they seem pretty well balanced, graphically, flashy enough to be nice to look at but not too flashy (like in cabal those skills tend to be a little too much for me).

The friends and the challenge of capping. At this point im going to start jobbing more, try and get my last bit of sp. Im going to college in the fall so I wont get to play as much =\

I play for my friends and my union and cuz its fun to pwn botters.

Sounds sweet I tried venus for a bit but i was scared away by the lack of cape pvp and the server seemed almost dead too me. But i guess that my view of it would change if i'd gotten into an active guild, which i didn't. ^_^ I still have my level 23 warrior/cleric though haha

Around this time is the peak time of pvp at samarkand south, dw south is dead.. Venus is great fun

I play because of my friend... All my other friends left to go play other games D:
