So I've been hearing all this rave about Venus and I'm foolin' around after the weekly gold bot ban (between that and the party mobs walking around it's soooo awesome) and I just hit 20 so I had to go and buy a horse to get to the chajki's.

And I notice..

THE EFFIN' STABLE DUDE THINKS TAXES ARE BULLSHIT!!

That whole damn time I could have been NPCing craptacular low lvl items to him and had like.. 100k+ more of gold!

Am I the first to notice this? o.O

I wish I didn't have to pay taxes in real life! *mumbles and starts raising horses and wolves*

If I understand this correctly : the stable npc doesnt charge you extra gold when you sell items to him?

Guess I should have been more clear.

Venus (like most servers) has a 20% tax on items in jangan.

This effects everyone - stallers, herb, blacksmith, and grocery - EXCEPT the stable guy. You can sell and buy NPC items their for their normal price (elixirs - 20k instead of 16k)

It's just something I hadn't noticed cause I haven't made a noob that wasn't Euro since.. *shrugs*

i see, it's what i figured from what u said
btw, is this a bug/glitch or fortress owners can decide which NPC to tax and how high?

Lets say, the taxes are lowered to negative 20, a player could buy a good amount of NPC gear and then resell them when the taxes are 20% positive. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that a great way of making some petty cash?

no because u lose 55%(or so) of item price when u npc it. the -20% tax will only get u poor.

maybe the fortress owner decided not to charge extra price for stable.
