Old as hell. Just a malfunctioning of your video card.

As for spoiler tags...do this:

[spoiler]blah blah blah blah[ /spoiler]...No space between [ and /.

no, i'm pretty sure it's cuz of your graphics card. If you run sro on for a long period of time and you're shared graphics memory is used up, it starts messing up the graphics in the game. It happened every now and than on my old card which was 256 mb shared. now with my new card with 256 dedicated and 1 gig shared, it's alot smoother. Upgrade your graphics card, or don't leave sro running for days and you should be fine.

if you minimize sro (show desktop -> next to your startbutton, not everyone has it) while in windowed mode, and when you then play another game or something...
open sro back and you will have that

Its kind of true, I use Windowed mode for my SRO so while im browseing on the net and sometimes when i come back, i see this, but not most of the time. I havent tried putting an item back in my inventory... I logged out yesterday but back today and it was fine, then it started doing it over again(sometimes). Idk if its the video card or somewhat but it worked on my other video card which was < compared to this one.

Drivers or client, or something, removing your headpiece and putting it in inv usually fixes it (at least on my system)

JM coded it kinda...weird.

Its just a rendering glitch. It doesnt mean you have a bad video card and I think almost everyone gets it at some time or another. Just remove a visible item off your char and them put it back on. That rerenders your char and fixes it. If other pople around you have it also, just teleport and it fixes them.

It happens to me sometimes but only on my linux box that uses wine. I thought it was a wine issue. Guess I was wrong.
