So i'm about to hit 74 and bored as hell, so i'm just spending my time running around jangan acting like a newb for the hell of it. I've always wanted to make a vid so now that i'm a high lvl with some pretty cool skills, is there any free game recorder out there? I've tried some in the past but it was either too laggy with the recorder running, or won't record past 10 secs clip. I've heard fraps is good, but cost 30 bucks. since this will be a 1 time movie deal, i don't really want to pay 30 bucks to make a random movie. Is fraps really the only option or is their some nice recorder out there that you guys use? I've seen some pretty long movie with gamecam and some with "unregistered hypercam #" but i dunno where to get those. Any help pls?


Also, if anyone on Alps has fraps and would like to help pls post here.

hmm that looks really familiar, i think i tried it but couldn't get it to record anything. it just stops and started randomly and created a bunch of vids that said 10 secs long but when played only black screen came up.

Hmm dont know about that worked fine for me pretty simple.

almost all cracked fraps contain a virus, i would rather use wegame

Hmm my friend suggested camtasia studio 5... anyone know about this? I don't mind using trial versions, but i don't want stuff that when it comes time to uninstall, it leaves behind a shitload of crap on ur computer.

got x fire?? If you do then add me on it. add me here's my name on it... aznkillas and I'll meet you in x fire and I could send you the file fraps which is the installation and free... No need to pay. And in order to make video you'll also need movie maker... And btw... My fraps have no viruses.. Actually my laptop is 99% clean. Wegame is good but idk... Fraps + movie maker= pwns. Camstudio works but fraps is way easier and better.

I've never had to "crack" fraps. It's full version from install. Your probably going to shady places to find your torrents.

I bet he already knew that, but he didnt do that he came here and ask us for help so no need to tell him to use google, just help him if you can and if you cant dont spam. No hard feelings .

yup, that was my first attempt, came up with some of the mentioned programs and others, tried a few, didn't like them, so seeing if anything good pops up. I'm avoiding the "cracked" or free version of fraps until i run out of options. I won't start filming until another month or so, but when i get clips, i'll try and make a trailer and post it here, see what everyone thinks.

put your telephone on your chest with tape on it so it'll stick
then you'll have a lagfree recorder

Fraps is shareware. You can record up to 30secs, if you want longer videos, you have to pay.
If you dont want to pay the ~ 40$ then you have to crack it or use a crack made by someone else.

well there are many options you can choose personaly i perfer the free fraps it allows for fast editing to make your videos look awesome without having to try and reshoot 5+ mins of video

and windows movie maker is prolly the best free program for editing the movies and youtube since it went hi def is decent and almost everyone uses it

prob is, isn't free fraps only 10 or 30 secs of video... how could u even capture 5 mins of action? do u just keep jamming the record key?

hmm in sro xfire works fine with recording, but if you wanna make vids about fps games like bf2 then you'll get some lag, pretty annoying if you wanna show your skills.

AWESOME program, best quality + small avi files
and u dont even know that its running in the back ground, no lag
