Can anyone run them smoothly? If yes what are your system specs?

I cant and i have radeon x1650. But my friend has a integrated card, 6150LE which in theory is shittier than mine, but it can run detailed. So who knows.

Yes they can.

Go to cSRO or ecSRO VIP or wherever it's empty and put it all on high. It's perfect.

um im not sure about what you guys mean by lag but it really just drops the frame rate.

for sure I have a crappy integrated graphics card but I think ur RAM may affect performance too.

amd x2 6000+
4gb ram
8600 gt

over 100 fps whens everything on high, after i use detailed shadows fps drop to ~5 or less. :p , no one can use detailed shadows on isro, because they're not properly coded, even if you would have a $100000 pc, your fps would drop.

The shadows are poorly coded, as most people I ask that have pretty damn good computers that play Crysis perfectly still have difficulties using detailed shadows without a frame drop, poor coding is all it is.

I have Twin 8800 GTX graphics, Overclocked 3.2ghz Quad core cpu and 4gb ram.
And my fps with full shadows is ~10, and always 120+ without any shadow detail.

I cant do it, even when there is no people around

Specs:Q6600 Quad Core
4GB Ram
8500GT (I think it's my Sh*tty graphics card that does it)

I can do it fine but not in major crowded towns like hotan. Outside where mobs are and less ppl, even the gates it's playable. I prefer just keep it on circle shadows everything else on high tho so it's always smooth :P Basically joymax just made a HORRIBLE engine as far as efficiency, the graphics themselves look pretty decent.

the effect isnt OPTIMIZED in ISRO

i had ksro a while ago and it was runing smoothly ... means they have it optimized .

There was actually a "Silkroad Edition" AGP video card back in 2005 or 2006. I wonder if it ran detailed shadows.

My friend has a PC worth over 3000 Euro.

He runs Crysis and COD4 MAX easily, but he also lags when he turns on detailed shadow.

Running crysis "max" would take 3 gtx 280's and qx9770. Is that what he has?
I still see people using detailed shadows in videos. It make silkroad look like a slide show with fraps. Anybody who uses detailed shadows is missing out on alot smoother gameplay/higher fps.

Unless u mean including AA *which would be dumb to do for Crysis* u don't need that good of a pc :P I can run it on very high at 1680x1050 at about 25 fps average, but I prefer higher fps so I play on high settings instead of very high. I think only one Gtx280 and a decent dual or quad core would run it very decent at 1680x1050. Any res above that it does start to get difficult tho :banghead:

Code: Select all
yea, running max means AA....cod4 maxes at 4x AA and it makes a huge difference.

I can easily sli 8800 gtx 3ghz intel qx6850 quad core 4 gigs ram cake walk even in hotan. Everything maxed 1920x1200 avg 60 fps easily.

but sadly Crysis maxed on 1920x1200 brings my pc to it's knees :(

For me I have a 7800GTX SLI at maxed settings, and detailed shadows just lag me. Everything is maxed though. I'm assuming coding is wrong or it's bugged, from what I'm reading some here with 9 series are lagging as well with detailed shadows. Hope they fix this someday. Yeah right  .
